IThey’ve been training their whole life. They gave up so many things, sacrificed so much. Just to make it to the olympics or world championships. They nail their moves so many times In practice. And then, they fall or mess up. After so much hard work and sacrifice. I’m a level 8 gymnast, and I gave up public school, taekwondo, spending quality time with my family. All for this sport. Because I love it, and it’s my passion and my therapy. I feel so bad for them, I can’t imagine what they’re feeling 😥 But it makes them stronger.

I’m so sick of people asking me, why do you do that to yourself, I don’t get it, you’ve been robbed of a life, your always in training, you never have time for me, you must hate your mother for making you I’m sure other gymnasts can relate, my mother doesn’t make me do anything, when I wanted to quit at 7 she let me, I chose to go back two years ago, she did not make me. I don’t have time for them because I’m a little girl with big dreams, and little girls with big dreams, wants to achieve those big dreams, if they do everything possible, they become big girls who conquered big fears and achieved big dreams, but if I don’t spend all that time in the gym, dreams will stay dreams, fears will be regrets I have not been robbed of a life, I am living the life I have always wanted, competing in the crowded gym, the amazing feeling of a medal, the hours of training in the chalk filled gym, I don’t do that for anyone, not for you, for my family, my friends or my coach, I’m doing it for me

I hate how ppl think it's weird that I'm in the gym all the time. Like my mom has to tell ppl I'm not there I'm at gym. But it's because I'm working for something that I've been working for my entire life. And yeah ima be at gym 24/7 because If that's what's gonna get me to where I want to be, then I'll do it all day every day for the rest of my life. ❤

Poor Larisa, she went from one injury to another, dozens surgeries and she is still not ok. Not giving your body time to heal can be dangerous. One can understand the inpatience, they do not have many years to compete, but the chance she will be healthy enough to be up there after 2 years of surgeries and breaks is not that big. Pitty, she was the last romanian gymnast that still wanted to be great.
