1. Its very hard to find a good gym that will except me. 2. Gymnastics is a very difficult sport that requires a lot of strength, time and energy. and 3. I don't think going back to gym would be acceptable for me and for my schooling life!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a sports acrobat but after a spinal injury I wasn't able to return to advanced training and I lost faith in myself. I started to watch your video and thanks to you I told myself I wouldn't be able to overcome the pain. Rehabilitation gives results but I know I will not go back to professional training anymore. Now I'm teaching young acrobats and it really makes me happy. Your videos are great motivation for the fight. :)

I haven't done gymnastics but I've always been fascinated by the people mastering it since I was little and now I feel so bad that I didn't jump into it when I had the chance. I would swim, but I'm actually a bit allergic to the chlorine in pools :/ I've been lifting weights and doing core exercises but it's hard to really get my heart pumping without being able to use both of my legs. What do you think about boxing? It would be mostly upper body and core but I think it might get my heart pumping enough! If you have any other ideas, feel free to let me know :) Thanks for replying!

Boxing is great cardio! I can't use my legs either, and I find boxing problematic because you need to be able to twist you knees and ancles a little bit if you want to do it well. But it's definitely possible to do it just standing. If you have access to a gym that has those big ropes, they can be good for cardio as well, and you can either stand up or sit on your knees while using them.

Thanks for the sibling tag in this video--absolutely fantastic! The 'Cheat Day' conversation in this video is so important. Athletes--especially are under a lot of pressure to always eat perfectly--to never indulge--and that's not realistic! Joanna is right, the word cheat has a bad connotation to it--and it should not! So I don't use the word 'cheat' I say "Free" day or "Splurge" day because I know I work so hard to earn and enjoy my favorite treats, so I can indulge once in a while. Enjoy life and just keep moving!
