Awesome vid, I'm in awe of these young women and so glad I recently discovered the sport. Mustafina seems like a really nice and happy person, and seeing Jordyn cry always bums me out a little, but then seeing her face when they won team gold makes up for it.

There could be multiple reasons. She was injured leading up to and during the Games so having her train bars might have been pushing it (it was difficult for her to keep going as a two event specialist.) The coaches might have wanted her to focus on bars and beam instead of three events and aggravate her injury when she wasn't needed (she would've scratched anyway.) The other three girls knew their scores counted so it really didn't matter who the coaches put up fourth:P

***** that was from the qualification round, where four athletes perform, but only three scores count. russia knew from the beginning that they would just need the scores from the other three (because they scored higher than Paseka was able to do) and so her only job was to scratch^^
