People in Jakarta doesnt like to walk becoz of the temperature. It is really humid and hot..we will sweat like crazy. And also the pollution of bikes and cars. So people usually come out and walk in the evening, after dusk time. Its getting much cooler and comfortable to roam the street, hangout with fam and friend, grab some coffee and talk to others, or even snackin ang having dinner. Anyway enjoy our country... Its the warmth of our friendly people, good nature and cheap but amazing food that will make Indonesia more bearable for foreigners like u. ❤❤❤❤❤

Jakarta is very hectic at that kinda time, around 4 pm to 10 pm, because it's the time for people to be back from work to their home. FYI, it's about 10 million people doing that kinda routines, which are some of them commute from some satellite cities surrounding Jakarta. May be you could research about this. As for the SIM Card, you looks like newbie at travel. Every country has policies about IMEI, and you should register your IMEI of your cellphone at the official cellular operator, to makes your cellular phone can have cellular signal from operator. To register it, indeed you should show your passport.

Are you still longer in Jakarta? if yes, in a few days, you can feel summer in Jakarta. And as local people if you are bothered by the worst air pollution in summer you can wear a face mask like COVID-19 back then, Jakarta people used face masks too while on public transport or in public areas. If you want to speak English go to a worker or student because not all people in Jakarta speak English, have a nice day.

There are many variants of satay in Indonesia, the most popular is Sate Madura with a choice of chicken satay or goat satay and the sauce can be bumbu Kacang /peanuts or Kecap / soy sauce... Try Nasi Goreng, Chicken Noodles or Meatballs... The best street food places are Jalan Sabang or Blok-M

pls enjoy in jakarta capital city of indonesia with many culture,...after jakarta if you want to bandung west java city you can go by woosh (express train KAI) from halim station to Bandung and you can buy ticket online...from bandung you cant to visit yogyakarta (borobudur temple, prambanan temple and malioboro street authentik kuliner, atc) and you can take a panoramic train..and from yogyakarta if you want to travel to east java (malang city) near from mounth bromo active volcano that place is beatifully and have sensation to enjoy .i hope u enjoyed around a java island

Jakarta is very big. you will find many things in that big city. There are many areas that are luxurious, comfortable, neat and there are also areas that are still underdeveloped, chaotic and this is common in cities around the world, including in developing countries. depending on which area you are stranded in. In essence you will find areas like New York and Europe and there are also ones like India or Bangladesh. and the area you are passing through is not a tourist area. head to the city center to get a better feel for the city

You can visit SCBD, Monas, HI roundabout, Grand Indonesia Mall. for historical tourism there is the old city still in the West Jakarta area, there is Glodok Chinatown. they were the beginnings of the city of Jakarta which was built by the Dutch colonialists. For the North Jakarta area, there is Ancol with its beach, and there is PIK, a new city that stands on a reclaimed island. There are many interesting spots there that you can visit and you can check on Google to find out more details...

I mean, central jakarta it's just the name of the area because, Jakarta it self is provinces and basically central Jakarta is the administrative city inside the province of jakarta located at the centre as the name said😅 each administrative city on jakarta provinces have it's own centre point, as Indonesian i see central Jakarta basically just a bunch of housing and government building at most, if you go a little south from there you enter the actual city centre, basically starting from bundaran HI which is technically still part of Central jakarta city but located a bit south from monas.

it's not the downtown area. Central and north Jakarta is old town. The downtown area is in South Jakarta and little bit south of central Jakarta. Jakarta is tiring, if it wasn't for work, I would prefer to live in a smaller big city. I'm surprised that foreigners travel to Jakarta.

In Indonesia we call stranger man with "Tuan" to respect him. We usually add Tuan before the name, "Tuan Gymson" for example, and it's translated to Mister Gymson in English, but Tuan here can be used alone without being followed by the name, and we Indonesian mostly think that it also works the same with "Mister" (we mostly don't know that "Sir" is the right word if it's not followed by the name) that's why they called you "Mister" without the name because obviously they didn't know your name 😆

@@Gymson I see you in the video looks so tired with the sim card. The best one is telkomsel and the cheapest is 3 card. But 3 for me is quite good and cheap. And when you buy a rice in the foodcourt the rice you order it’s already finished and the store is about to close. So it’s just “nasi bakar” that’s left. Nasi bakar in english is “roasted rice”. Basically they put chilly some spice and chicken pinch inside the banana leaf.

Last comment from me in this video. 😅 We have a lot of sate/satay. What you eat in the video is “sate padang”. Sate padang with curry sauce and sometime it is to spicy for foreigners. And a lot of indonesia even didn’t like it and prefer to “sate madura”. Sate madura made with peanut sauce and soysauce it’s sweet and the taste is soo good. People can really love it and can really hate it sate padang because the curry teksture I guest.

KL is a small city compared to Jakarta. KL is only 243 km² while Jakarta is 661 km², of course there's less polution in smaller city. u can compare Jakarta with Bangkok or Metro-Manila cuz those are huge metropolitan city just like Jakarta, but u can't really compare Jakarta to KL.

Becareful with their sambal its not like Malaysian sambal its all heat. Malaysian sambal tend to be sweet and less on the heat. They like to focus on the heat . They also have more variety of sambal but its probably just as spicy if not spicier.
