30K for a drink like that is quite expensive. It has to be 20K tops. I have the same disappointment as you with the shake avocado drink. The food in Sudirman area is quite expensive, you should google more to buy from other places that makes sense. Moreover you buy these in the CFD area that makes the price always higher.

a similar area in the Kuningan Epicentrum, there is a river in the middle of the city and is a good place to relax. Usually the stadium will be busy with people exercising in the afternoon when everyone has finished working and is enjoying the afternoon

My last visit to Jakarta was around mid 1980s, I think I visited the city 3 or 4 times. My late dad was a Malaysian diplomat. It's a bit nostalgic, mainly because my late mom passed away in Jakarta and her body was brought back to Kuantan, her home town, for burial. Jakarta looked so much different now from some videos that I watched.

19:20 the bag scan is to making sure you didn't brought weapon or worse a bomb, is security measures to make sure no one trying something funny. We have dark experiences long time ago that making baggage scan is everywhere at building with a lot of foot traffic like a mall. At least it was effective to making sure they are no public shooting like what happens often in the USA😅

In my opinion it doesn't help at all, if somebody have bad intentions they can go into any mall. This also happened in Thailand there was shooting in mall that was secured with those screenings. There are many malls that work without those devices and are doing just fine. Lotte mall for example in Kuningan was good no worries just walk in without any problem.

@@Gymson again, it's because of what happened on those area in the past that make the owner of the mall put the scanner, they are no rules from the government to put baggage scanner on a mall, and different mall have different policy regarding of the safety protocol, some preferred to put scanner on the entrance, some mall preferred to just increase the security personal, some mall is relax on the security and treat the mall as open space, in my opinion as Indonesian myself, it doesn't really matter to me how they preferred to conduct security protocol as far that they work professionally. Also as you mentioned they are multiple mall to go to, so if you don't like the place you can just go to other mall, we Indonesian treat mall like a hang out place anyway😅

And from stadium GBK, u can go next to Snayan Park Mall, satdiun Basket ball, and Garden senayan (that one area).. And if u want xplore mall again, u can go to Kuningan City Mall area...and Epiventrum Mall area .. I think that's good area n cool.. Also dont forget to Grand indonesia Mall, Plaza Indonesia mall, and Astra Grapia, Sarinah Mall (thas one area), special for astra grapia mall that's inside in the tallest building in jkt, and if ur lucky u can go to upstairs floor with the permit from giuide/management, and u can see All of jkt from up its very cool And if u want goto authentic building mall, u can goto MOI (mall of indonesia) Btw dont forget to Monas, Istiqlal mosque (u must goto inside n feel love n freedom in inside mosque) And if u want goto beach, u can goto Ancol (u must xplore this because very bigg area n many many good thing entertain, market, etc..) and than u can goto PIK 1/2... And the last one in jkt u must gotp TMII/ taman mini indonesia Indah.. Jakarta is underrated, then again, at least now due to the high speed train people are curious enough to stay a bit longer and go visit Bandung as well which is a cool city too, can't wait for them to make even more high speed lines, the whole of Java is a must see, even if slower the trains, it's super worth it to go to Central and East Java by train, Yogyakarta especially. Oh yes, Tahu bagus dan enak! can't get enough of Tofu when in Indonesia next time, it is the best!

I think you should come to visit PIK II ( PANTAI INDAH KAPUK / KAPUK BEAUTIFUL BECH II ) there is different side from Jakarta.. mix modern dan old town, tradisional & modern town.. you can find many kuliner street food..
