Consider a 10×10 wall, one of wall is exposed to outer environment and other side is in interior of the house, iam considering few options here 1: normal brick wall with cement plastering 2: wire cut brick wall with gypsum plastering on one side and no plaster on outer side 3: normal brick wall gypsum plastering on one side and cement plastering on outer 4: interlock mud brick wall with gypsum plastering on one side and no plaster on outer side 5: interlock mud bricks wall with gypsum plastering on one side and cement plastering on outer side Now please tell me which option will be cost effective

Some times even after plastering with cement dampness happen ... If i don't plaster inside and directly apply gypsum what guarantee I have that the dampness won't form

Dampness problem occurs mainly due to low quality bricks.. so if you are sure about quality of bricks you shall go for gypsum... orelse it will peel off like wall putty when it comes into contact with dampness

No... you completely wrong.... 2 coats of putty cost is just 10 to 15 rs per sft... And more over is there any dampness or leakage from outside... gypsum will be collapsed completely.... then it looks horrible... please do some home work before you post anything

y should dampness peneterate from outside ??.. moreover if u go with gypsum plastering you don't need to plaster with mortar .. so better u get some understanding and then post ... many Residential Building has done gypsum plastering ... I had already mentioned it's recommended only for dampness proof internal work ...
