I think it's more the fact she manipulated an impressionable (autistic) boy to do the dirty work for her, then pretend she was also a victim of that too, to run free. At the time of the trials she didn't really show any remorse and kept acting innocent, which means she knew what she's doing- turning into more than just defense and an abused victim. The mother lied to the doctors- saying medical records were destroyed and there were a few that did standup, but the mom just switched doctors. One even called CPS at some point.

It's crucial to look beyond the surface when assessing Gypsy's situation. Many aspects of her story raise serious questions about her true nature and the dynamics within her family. Reports suggest that Gypsy may have manipulated her circumstances and taken advantage of her mother rather than being a helpless victim. Moreover, her behavior towards others, including instances in hospitals, indicates a troubling pattern. It's essential to approach this narrative critically and consider the possibility that Gypsy and those around her may not be who they claim to be. Don't be swayed by emotional storytelling; investigate the facts and see the bigger picture.
