@@naevrys They still wouldn't get it though. They see a brilliant dressage rider at the Olympics and they simply don't understand that the rider is actually working hard while making it look easy and that that's the whole point. They really think the rider is just sitting there and looking at the scenery! The only thing they have to compare it with is probably jockeys going all out at the finish or cowboys at a rodeo where it does look 'all action' so of course ordinary riding seems easy to them.

Some of my friends that have ridden are super annoying like this. I can't talk to horses around them because they always say, "It's so easy I rode and I figured it all out myself I don't know why you think it's so hard anyone could just get on and ride" and I've shown them videos, explained, and told them about my accidents and struggles, but they never understand. My friend who we'll call Ellie (not her real name for privacy,) came to a camp at my barn with me and she got to canter with vaulting gear on the horse only a couple days in. That was because she will probably never be able to go again due to the cost of the camp. The people doing the program fully paid the money for the camp because her family couldn't afford it, so he worked faster with her. Then there's my friend who we'll call Georgia. (also not her real name,) and she took vaulting for a couple years before moving to a new sport. She thinks it's easy too! then a girl I know from church also said it's easy, AND SHE RODE TOO!!! I only have two friends who I take lessons with in the summer who don't think that it's easy, and sometimes it makes me sad and feels like maybe they are just better riders than I am and that I shouldn't ride, but I've learned not to care what they think because I love horses and no one cane change that, so keep on riding everyone God bless you all!

Trust me, I know how this feels, I've been riding for 11 years (I'm 15 now) and I haven't jumped higher than cavaleti, but i work with green horses, which gives me so much joy and I learnt to not care about such things, because I love riding and horses. It's one of the best things that had happened to me.

@@FlashEquestrian glad to know I'm not alone. My trainer works with people who buy 3 - 6 year olds, trains them and sells them, so we have green horses all the time, some are worse than others, but working with difficult horses is so much fun and seeing their progress is even better.

@@the_ethical_horse_girl I can sort of relate, I dont train horses but I got a new pony that is only 8 and got broken at 6 so only been in work for 2 years so far ( not that new anymore I’ve had her for about 7 months now) anyway I bought her to start jumping higher courses because my main riding discipline is showjumping, anyway she is very spooky especially at showjumping fillas and oxers and the very first 60cm course I did on her she stopped at jump 4 and threw me of, that was in January anyway I have done a load of traing with her lots of jumping spooky things and like you said it’s so fun to watch them improve and get better and better, last weekend I did my first 70cm course with her and there was os many fillas and oxers and we ended up with only one stop which is a record so far and we even went clear in the 60cm class before, so happy with the improvement :)

Who ever said raidding is easy should never ever sit on a horse again. Ridding correctly is so damn hard! Working with your weight, guiding your horse throu your seat, keeping gentle touch... yes, its easy when you just bounce in saddle without a care how much will it hurt back of your horse. But after one lesson with a proper trainer they will hurt at least three days after... (sorry for my english, not a native)

"The horse does all of the work"😡😡😡 I rage when people say that. People need to recognise that riders work extremely hard with riding and horses. Riding IS a sport and it SHOULD be in the olympics. Non-equestrians must respect and acknowledge horse riding. I mean, we respect their passions, so why is it so hard to respect ours? The insulting and "riding isn't a sport blah blah blah" is wrong and rude. We respect your opinions, but you don't need to say in a nasty way. You are such an amazing person and thank you for making these fun videos for us to enjoy!❤

The reference to Raleigh Link practically made me fall off out of my chair laughing. Think that gal has good intentions but she definitely is way too young to think she has all the answers and is the ultimate authority on all things animal related. I will admit she is very good at promoting herself and I’m sure she will do well but she is not the savior of animals everywhere that she thinks she is. Just a tad too self absorbed for me. As a vet , I am intrigued by what she will do once she gets her vet degree. I was that judgmental bitch 30 plus years ago when I went from vet school where the animals we saw belonged to people who generally placed no limits on what they were willing to do to depressed southern IL where a lot of animals got very little care. Took me a couple years to get my bearings and realize that most people are doing the best they can with the resources they have and that as soon as they realize you are judging them it just makes advocating for the animal harder. One of your funniest videos yet! Keep me laughing.

You go girl! I jumped some pretty big fences in my heyday . Now I’m sixty and I swear to God the a foot and a half has gotten a lot larger than it was about 3 decades ago. We all have to start somewhere and it’s always wise to progress at a rate that builds confidence in you and your horse. I see so many people who try to do too much too soon and it can take a LONG time for both horse and rider to recover mentally and physically if things go south . I have a world of respect for the trainers who master the art of challenging students just enough but not too much.

I just take lessons. My family could afford a horse but rn we are doing a lot of house work so we don’t have enough time and I told a friend that horses are REALLY expensive and she was like *oh I saw one for free once!* I literally almost exploded

sure, she has opinions many people don’t agree with, (I don’t agree with all myself) but alot of the stuff she says is straight up facts that you cannot argue with, plus she always shows proof from various studys or other reliable sources. Also, she Is in vet school and horses are one of the animals she studies, so this comment is quite ignorant.

@@fluffypotatoes6882 she brings up “studies” that are based on faulty and unstable information. There’s whole videos on this.

@@deathsheadmothranch7188 Theres plenty of information in the studies she brings up that any decent person in the equestrian community could EASILY understand, and its quite obvious. She uses the studies to prove many of her already obvious points true to the people who for some reason can’t seem to understand it.

I have the impression that she seems to be suffering from the messiah syndrome, a mental defiance that makes peoples proclaim themselves saviors (in her case animals)

Her: “You named her Zurreal? That is such a stupid name 🙄” My friend: Ew 🙄 Why would you name your horse Luey? Like that’s the absolute *WORST* way to spell it 🙄 If your going to name your horse *LOUI* then at least spell it normally 🙄 LIKE BRUH WE COULD NAME OUR HORSES WHATEVER WE WANT. I could relate ✋🏽 Great video as always!!

@@ThatOneGelding No :( But I just started lessons again after years of not being able to or thinking I never would again. The school horse I'm riding's name is Curly Sue. Or at least her barn name is, her full name is longer and I can't remember it off hand. She's a dark bay Arabian. What breed of horse is Luey?

@@imzadi83fanvids7 Aw! She sounds beautiful. Luey I actually don’t know the breed because he’s a rescue. But he is a bay gelding and stands 17.3 hands. If you had a horse, what breed would you get?

@@ThatOneGelding Good question! I've always wanted a mustang but obviously that's not a good idea to start. Also wanted a Belgian Brambant I could name Waffle, always thought that was hilarious. Would also like an OTTB and maybe a Fjord someday. Honestly if I could afford a horse I'd be happy with anyone so long as they were safe for my level of rider. Don't think I'd want anything shorter then 14hh as I have long legs. Love to get a rescue. There are several around me but usually don't have beginner horses. Do you have a dream breed?
