In my country we talk about positive and negative reinforcement, basically we talk about pressure and release. For example if we asked a horse to back up we apply pressure and then release when the horse starts moving backwards

My grandmother had a passion for horses. I learned some things from her. As a kid she told me to never to be behind a horse or approach from behind a horse. Let the horse come to you when its ready too. Watching her with horses was amazing. They all seemed to enjoy her company. Even if she couldn't ride one, she would just stand and talk to it thru the fence like it was her best friend. I never saw her lose her temper with any animal. She grew up on a farm in the 20's and she believed in respect for the animals, all of them. I feel bad for both the horse and the lady. The horse gets blamed but the human wasn't using sense.

I thought the title meant it was a Christmas party among horse girls. Like, a group of horse girl buddies got together.

I’m a minute in and already mad, this is obviously a foal and I don’t see a dam nearby. It’s just obvious that a scared young animal could act irrationally. DON’T POKE THE BEAR.. is a saying for a reason. People get more moronic as the days go on. All for views, because they’re being filmed. More frustrating that people watch this and think “yeah what a bad horse it’s crazy” because they know nothing about horses and see idiots play stupid games and win stupid prizes. I’m sorry I’m clicking out early, you seem sweet, but this kinda crap just pisses me off. It’s insane the person went ahead and posted that they should be embarrassed of their actions and mortified its public. Ugh.

It's not that hard, is it? Eyes wide, ears back, head high or tossing, gait stiff, lips pulled back, nostrils flared, pawing the dirt.....get out of the way.

I thought, when I saw the 1994 version of Black Beauty, with Sean Bean, Peter Davison, Peter Cook, Alun Armstrong, David Thewlis, and Alan Cumming as the voice of the horse, I thought, "OK, this is the 19th Century, when working people had to depend on horses to make a living, and working them too hard and hurting them was probably inevitable. But everyone with access to horses today can afford to treat them better." It's only by watching KZbin videos over the last two weeks that my eyes have been opened to the cruelty going on today.
