Ryan Dungy is a total gentleman and good person. I was in the tunnel at SX and saw him with his mechanic waiting for the LCQ. Ryan's bike failed in the heat race and forced him to the LCQ. A mom and her little kid somehow got in the tunnel and walked over to Ryan and asked him for a picture with the little kid. His mechanic started to tell the mom no, but Ryan said yes and put the kid next to him and smiled for the picture. The thing I remember about this moment was the serious look on Ryan's face.... he was racing for the championship and looked kind of nervous because anything can happen in the LCQ. Yet he took the time to make some random kid the happiest kid in the stadium. Great character

That was the day his WP gas suspended (no spring) shock collapsed on the gate😳Harmonic frequency just blew the seals and all of the fluid and nitrogen out...they NEVER used that shock again‼️Yes, Ryan Dungey re-wrote the book on pure training driven excellence and good attitude {While going thru all of Jason Lawrence's psychological and physical take-out BS😖}

Dungey is one of those guys that you would never expect to have been as good as he was.he has zero ego. That's pretty rare in our sport, purely because you need to believe you are the best, and can beat everyone on the line.it can easily slip into a negative effect on the ego,but dunge always came across as a regular guy that didn't realise just how good he was. That's such a cool story you shared, and I'm glad you shared it 👍

He's probably not the best interview but he really is an awesome guy. I saw him at Budds Creek one year walking behind the semi toward his motorhome after practice and it was obvious he was heading in to relax before the motos. A guy with his young son saw him and called out just as he was opening the door to the motorhome. Ryan could have easily ignored them and gone inside but he didn't. He walked over to them and signed the kid's shirt and took a pic. Not only was he overly polite, he talked to the kid for a few minutes before he went inside. I really wanted to get a picture with him but after I saw that I wasn't about to ask him. 100% class.

the last statement says it all LOL..there is takeouts & then there is racing incidents . Also ..the whole burn out thing or (just had enough of it all) .I cannot even imagine the grueling training /travel & racing on a peak pro level for years straight .let alone injuries . R/C left the sport at a time where he was racing 1/2 the tracks to say goodbye to the fans & he was the points leader in the outdoors when he exited ,some folks said R/C was retiring because of 7 ..so i think it lit a fire in his soul LOL.. so he beat the crew when all he had to do is go out & say goodbye & get a top ten . Not many racers can exit like that & RD was & will always be a total class act & brought up the sport a notch on the human level .RD also rode very smart & retired pretty healthy also .

You (Ryan Dungey) did not end Jame's career. The state organized drug commies ended Jame's career. 16 months off for a prescription med that is legal for anybody else to get. 16 months off this sport is usually career ending, and nobody in the industry had the brains/balls to stick up for James. Nobody here has the brains to bring it up either.
