This is the dream and you all know it. A cheap gyrocopter which can land anywhere, is compact enough to be transported in a small trailer and housed in a small garage. This is it. This is the flying car we have all been dreaming about. Looks quite different but still the same thing.

Lol, awesome! I love the hype! "This is the dream and you all know that!" Good! If I get my garage door fixed I am now certain I can build a small 2 seater air car with ease knowing how the smaller size steel performs for safety, I would have to build with somone experienced with small drone motors and interested in expanding minds for youtube! Why just pretend we can't further our minds with next to no effort! Life is awesome! I invited somone to build, it wouldn't happen without a proper garage door! Either way I could watch videos all day long! People live longer once they see which deliveries are killing them! Life is about fun, not being suckered into somone else's way! Happy living

Videos just like this. I was an avid R/C Airplane builder when i was in my 20's. There really were not any prebuilt planes back then. We used to get old closet doors and plans then sit in the garage for 6 months and build what we thought would fly. This man is a genious. He went outside the box and combined air boating, airplane flying, hang gliding and helicopter piloting and made them all happen at once. He looks happy as can be and proud of his accomplishments. Im 50 years old in washington state and dont ceel as though i have accomplished much in life. I would love to do something like him. I made dash panels for cessnas for awhile in california in the 80s until the owner got drunk, burned down the buisness with his self inside. I have PTSD and depression. Sometimes a simple video or seeing the smile on a persons face that has accomplished and enormous feat can make me smile and for that small space in time, im a happy guy.

Brilliant engineering job! I’m curious about the pontoons. They appear to be aluminum. Is there any reason a pair of off-the-shelf Roto-moulded Kayaks couldn’t be used?
@noname-mm6ts2 жыл бұрын
I am not sure about that, but my bet is on the weight. An average kayak's weight is around 30kg, so two kayaks would be around 60kg at least! I think the overall weight of these gondolas made by thin aluminium sheets is much less than 60kg.

Very appealing and extremely intimidating, especially the control system. Ive been on a training gyro in N Ohio Penn Virginia area. The runway dropped off the edge of a cliff and it was treacerously steep inhospitable terrain to fly over. Great idea! Nice aircraft. Over water is much more reassuring and low level flight works fine.

Perhaps it might be best to educate yourselves about this aircraft prior to making a comment here. More specifically, may I suggest that you educate yourselves about Ultralight Trikes and Gyrocopters, their history, how they fly and how they operate on floats. Go on to learn about the designer/pilots background, his knowledge and experience. This aircraft's design has a solid foundation. Yes, the design can be further improved upon in the future as I am sure he plans on doing. I appreciate this pilot sharing his passion with us and I look forward to seeing updates in the future. It is unfortunate that the negative comments being made here are obviously from people who have chosen not to educate themselves about this type of aircraft. I have been in Ultralight Trike flying for 30 years and have also owned an Air Command Gyrocopter, so I do have some knowledge and experience to draw upon. I have designed and built my own aircraft and I am always amazed at the number of laymen armchair observers who are quick to point out potential nonexistent problems based upon their complete lack of knowledge and experience. Again, thanks for sharing your aircraft design with those of us who do possess the knowledge and experience to appreciate your efforts. Safe flying and good luck in your future endeavors!

The first Benson gyros had weightshift bar steering, but push right go right nosewheel, rudder. This here have trikefrontwheelsteering, Push right go left. But has crossed wires to rudder, so handling is like a trike on ground. Transition for a trike pilot should be easy( with some serious rotor theory)
