did not like this song at first. But it grew on me. Actually this is a characteristic of Rado's songs (He is the boss, and also wrote and produced their main songs so far. He also wrote many hits for Chung Ha, Twice, Got7 , just to name a very few). His music is more complex and takes a bit getting used to initially, and it Always hooks you a bit later. And once that happens you will absolutely love it.

The reason why the chorus seems unusual to many is that because there is nothing that sounds like this before, no one from 1st to 4th Gen sounds like this. The chorus is a fusion of pop and jazz. That jazzy instrumental (unusual to kpop) is well mixed with that base line (usual to kpop) in chorus. STAYC has always been experimental with their songs the reason for them to have a distinct sound among this gen who was full of girl crush pop cute sound.
