The EU exists today because of American subsidies and its military, as well as MASSIVE breaks in tariffs during the post WW2 recovery process. Your health services is possible because your company was not paying their legally obligated contributions to NATO, among other things. So, Trump is trying to adjust the imbalances that have been kicked down the road by prior diplomatic efforts in different areas to say the EU must step up to fully meet its obligations, and I hope that the EU will lower it's regulations on the EU member countries so that the economies of individual EU members can revitalize.

it's hilarious. The entire upper midwest uses Canadian oil. Lumber is always constrained and got dangerously constrained cost-wise in during the entire logistics debacle/pandemic. Canada exports far more to the US than they import. Trump wants Canada to correct the trade imbalance. Auto makers, for example, like building cars in Canada for the US market because they don't need to provide health insurance like they do for US workers. It used to be something like a $1,500 savings per car. This effectively amounts to a goverment subsidy for Canadian autos.

The only reason we use Canadian oil is because it's cheaper to sell our oil that is pumped closer to export terminals in the Gulf, and then backfill with highly-discounted Canadian oil. Without competition from Canadian oil, US producers would be able to guarantee profit margins while ramping up production.

no, it wasn't. he called out AMERICAN banks for blocking service to politically conservative citizens. he called out trade imbalances - Why won't the EU allow the US automarket into the EU when the US has allowed English, German and Italian automakers to sell to the US for decades? he called out EU members that still need to meet their CURRENT 2% obligation *which American taxpayers have covered the gap on for over a decade. He called for an increase in defense spending - likely because the cost of war/outbreaks, etc. are MORE expensive - technology being developed is very expensive. Over the past 10 years, he has basically challenged the EU to stop being SO PASSIVE about defense. As for Greenland - it's in our hemisphere. we have a military base there already. They have 60k citizens - the Danes are not developing Greenland. the EU is not developing Greenland and both are counting on the US to defend Greenland. So ,why in the world can't Greenland become a US territory? As for Canada - Trump is trolling Trudeau because he is so weak in his own country but he is also trying to get CA to step up in some areas. There are many financial benefits if Canada was absorbed into the US - no tariffs, no limits on work/travel within the North American region, their taxes would come down significantly, etc. But, that doesn't mean Trump is trying to force that to occur.

i'm someone in that realm, of security viasvis great powers. While possible, it's quite unlikely Ru would try to kill him and it's quite difficult to do actually at this point. But more importantly Ru doesnt want to start warfare with the U.S. let alone U.S/nato, so there is no way in heck they will try to kill him.
