I don't know how I missed this song before! I think it's my favourite now! After listening to the whole playlist, I've got a thought. We use the same generating software, we're aiming for the same general style/epoch, our "work process" is pretty similar, but our music is... different! Maybe because our music tastes are similar, but not the same. That means human input is still very important in all this "AI art" sphere! And that's very good!
@hAIrMETALL7 ай бұрын
But of course. And the experience in real bands is key too. Paying attention to arrangements, vocal phrasing, gradation, etc... I read somewhere in the comments of your channel that you're a "retired" musician. That pretty much goes for me too even though I might still make some "human" music if I get tired of AI. :)

I can't stop playing this song, it's so good. I utterly relate to the lyrics because I had to go through this very thing after a disastrous relationship when I was younger. I would like to know how much is is generated with A.I. Are the lyrics, the vocals, the instruments ALL created with A.I.? If so, I am just so astonished at how good everything comes together.
@hAIrMETALL5 ай бұрын
I don't remember what the case was with this song but usually I generate all the music with AI and I generate several versions of the lyrics with Chat GPT from which I take some good ideas and phrases and write the rest, compiling brand new lyrics. It is important to add that I put the music together in a DAW which gives me much more control over what goes where than I have in the Udio platform which generates the 30-second music chunks. In short, the music is 100% AI and the lyrics are about 30 to 50% AI.

It's a very good song but I didn't really edit the lyrics enough like I've been doing from one point on, so that's what's stopping me from releasing it. I’d like to know how the hell you got AI to something like this…..I need details. I’ve used AI and results are unsatisfactory
@hAIrMETALL4 ай бұрын
I use Udio.com. It generates 30-second chunks that you can then extend. When I hear a good chunk, first I extend it until I get a good enough basic structure of a song - that means verse, pre-chorus, chorus. Once I have those, I usually rewrite the auto generated lyrics and make udio repeat that basic structure of the song with the new lyrics. Then I repeat this structure once again with even newer lyrics until I get verse 1, pre-chorus 1, chorus 1, verse 2, pre-chorus 2, chorus 2. Then I generate a solo and a middle eight section (bridge) or the other way around - bridge plus solo and then I repeat the chorus two or three times at the end adding vocal ad libs in the final choruses and solos in the background (doesn't always work with the solos). This is the easy scenario. Most of the times I start from one chunk and then I get a good verse in one extended version of it and, say, a good chorus in another (Udio always generates chunks in pairs of two). Then I open my DAW (I use Cubase), find the tempo of the udio chunks for that song (this is a key part) and once I have the tempo, I can import any chunk from any "branch" of the extensions for a given song and put the chunks together the way I want. This also helps with variety. If I have four versions of the final chorus with some good parts in all of them, I can make one good chorus in the DAW, taking all the good parts from those four versions (especially with vocal Ad Libs). So that's basically it. Takes some time, but the results are much closer to what I want than what udio allows without a DAW.
