1 Cup Toor Dal/Arhar Dal/Split Pigeon Peas
soak for 30 mins and boil with 2 cups water+1/2 t.sp Turmeric Powder+1/2 t.sp Salt, upto 1 whistle on med-high flame.

3 dried red chilli
7-8 garic pods, chopped
2-3 inch ginger piece,grated
2 med. size onion,chopped
1/4 t.sp haldi
1 t.sp Coriander Powder
Salt 1/2 t.spor to your taste
2 large tomatoes,chopped
green coriander leaves,chopped
Second Tadka Ingredients:
2 t.sp Clarified Butter
1/2 t.sp Cumin Seeds
1/2 t.sp Deggi Mirch
Coriander leaves chopped

Dal turned to be delicious just like a Dhaba. Although, I burnt the second tadka a bit but nothing that distorted the taste as such. Wish I could share the pics with you. @Javed Khan The Bhagat Tarachand Special Thali is also simply amazing and during lockdown if you're unable to visit, then why not try making it at home 😀 I recreated their entire special thali at home along with the Dal Tadka/ Dal Fry, papad churi, Kutchi beer and the Khichia papad and it was delicious 🤤. You must give it a try 😀
