H.E. Michal Mlynár, Permanent Representative of Slovakia to the United Nations

Dear President Shahid, sincere congratulations on your extremely successful and fruitful term as President of the 76th session of the General Assembly. I've been priviledged and proud to have worked with you during this session on a number issues. Let me express my special thanks to you on two items in particular. First of all on your excellent initiative related to the youth agenda, creating the 'Hope Fellowship Program" for our young diplomats from least-developed and hunger representative countries. It's been really an excellent initiative that certainly will continue.
Secondly, the important High-level meeting on sustainable cities in April, which was truly successful - thanks to your leadership and indeed ensuring that cities and the new urban agenda have been brought back to the attention of the General Assembly.
