Got HK 223 A3 and had the 308 in loan for few months. They are freaking accurate. I have doped my MR223 out to 1200yds few times and frequently to 770. Last time at 770 I knocked 6 targets of 1 to 3 moa all on first shot. I am pondering on buying the HK 308 A3, A1 used or waiting for the Sako AR10 version to come up. Usual accuracy with bulk is 1.3 to 1.8 moa Match loads 0.8 to 1.2ish (been a looong time since I shot any but tested like 10 different) My handloads are quite the same, but definitely usually below 1moa. At 1 moa 5 shot group I know I messed up which is fantastic. My last 10 shot group is 0.7 moa. My load is: 75gt HPBT, 24.3gr N540.

That juggernaut is a dandy in 308. I guess it’s the bearing surface but it seems to give velocities very close to 175’s in my gun. One more thing you could add to your presentations might be a WEZ analysis if you have that software. Kind of computed differences vs observed. Tough conditions in the video so harder to draw conclusions. As an Hk fanatic and berger fan this video tugged my heartstrings

It has insane performance accuracy and stabilization for a 16" 308. It sounds cliche, but most people who hate this gun hate the exclusionary price tag. It was fairly impressive watching it handle the wind fairly well but ammo and wind on it kinda gave a it a mediocre finish. I've had mine for 8 years now, and it has been excellent. I have to start running some 175gr SMK and TMK to see what it can do. IT's only a 16.5" barrel, so it's not getting top tier velocity, but still a solid performer. Furthest I've shot with it is 791 yards, going 2 for 10 with a little wind, and 168gr FGMM SMKs. The T5Xi 3-15x50 was a perfect size match for getting out to that distance too.

I’ve been practicing in the wind recently and set up 2 simple “flags” really just a sick with a white grocery bag cut up and made in to a streamer like flag and the other one is about 100 yards away that I cut the bag with a little pouch into it so I can add pebbles into it to weight it down so when the wind is really high it won’t just be blowing straight sideways. Just add pebbles to where it’s more or less soaring at 45 degrees lol.. it works great and I believe it’s helping me read wind like never before. For me anyway it’s takin a while to be able to intuitively read the wind which is what I’m trying to get better at! Cheers and good shooting!

Rant...Thank you for calling this out as being overpriced, and that's coming from an HK fan. For the $6k-$7k street price, and $8.5k MSRP, it should be significantly better equipped. I can buy a seekins sp10 (spoiler alert, I did after selling the MR762), which are well documented to be highly reliable and group 1/2 to 3/4 MOA (can confirm, most accurate gas gun I've ever put on paper) for $2700 and still have plenty of money left over for a nice piece of glass and bipod before I reach the price of the MR762 LRP. Not to mention the SP10 has a superb single stage timney trigger as standard, adjustable gas block, and takes standard AR10/SR25 mags. You technically can't even run a standard (non-flow through) suppressor on the MR762 without installing a $500 Waffen Burk adjustable gas block. I don't regret many gun purchases, but the MR762 LRP is definitely on that list. I got sucked into drinking the kool aid by the HK forum douche bags that think everything HK makes is god tier. Lesson learned for sure.

I went from thinking one of our guys at work was over-hyping Seekins (I wasn't familiar with them), to completely reversing my opinion after meeting Danny and Matty Nelson (Seekins Reps) at an industry event. I was so impressed by them that I purchased two of their rifles (HIT and a SP-10) within a few months of that trip. One of the positions we were shooting from was a kneeling position off a cattle gate, and bracing the stock against a tripod leg. Matty was cheering me on while spotting for me as I had a 2.5" group going at 600 yards... which I then proceeded to turn into a 5" group with the last shot. Matty was more disappointed in that last shot than me, but it cemented that I wanted an SP-10. Months later I found out that GA Precision builds their GAP-10 using Seekins' receivers and handguard.

I’m running the MR762 Geissele trigger, which I’d recommend. Tighten up my grouping a bit better. Recoil impulse seems better than say SCAR-17S. Proprietary mags are a pain and I’m still trying to find an ambi charging handle from, Geissele. I love my MR762, but the proprietary nature of HK is a pain. More that it can hold the machine gun in a specific spot/at a specific angle for a long string of fire, and since it requires less precision than trying to land a single shot, the effect is a tighter beating zone at distance, increasing shot density for a longer range than a bipod with a squishy human behind it

What do I think about this particular rifle? It's overpriced, like most HK products. I'm perfectly happy with my LMT MWS308 in this role.

Another great video! Good demonstration about what shooters can actually expect from High Quality gas guns. My SIG762 G2, ($2,800) with standard NATO ball shoots...maybe 1.25. With Lapua Factory 175 its better at .75, as well as Factory Federal Gold Medal 168- also about .75. Keep up the excellent content- this is a gold mine.

HK M110A1 is a super solid platform . I personally do not think it's worth the money . Seekins SPM10 or Larue OBR I believe are half the cost with identical performance. Geissele did win SOCOM Contract for CSASS and SASS but different units have diffrent needs that's why some units use SPM10 , some use M110A1 and others use Geissele. I've always favored Larue AR10s when it comes to CSASS / DMR or SASS .

The package he bought is just some dealer add ons to upcharge. The standard mr762 is 3-3.5k

@@rustys.1070 3.5k for MR762 isnt that bad of a price actually. That's about what Larue OBR or Seekins SPM10 Cost

Is it Allyson Zipp approved ?

Absolutely love the MR762 but it's kind of hard to justify the cost of the rifle in my opinion

The rifle should be flawless at $7k. You would think the trigger would be a little more refined let alone some of the other average things at the well above average price point. Some people just like paying for a name.
