This is a beautiful rendition of an old favorite and is based on one of the Cambridge Flying Groups de Havilland DH82a Tiger Moth aircraft. The original aircraft was built in 1944. It comes in the yellow and silver livery of the London Aero Club. This model is made of balsa and can be powered by either glow or electric.
The de Havilland DH.82 Tiger moth was designed by Geoffrey de Havilland in the 1930s. It was operated by the Royal Air Force and many other air forces as a two-seat primary trainer before and during World War II. It has been used all other the world with many examples still flying.
As well as determining the power type this model also requires some assembly as well as fitting of the motor/engine and other electronics. It is recommended to use a 750W electric motor or a .46 2 Stroke or .70 4 Stroke engine. It will require 4 servos for electric or 5 servos for gas setup.
The Tiger Moth is a superb flier and gives a distinguished presence in the air. A must for every hanger.
Features:
• Lightweight balsa wood construction
• High quality covering film
• Full cockpit with scale, detailed instrument panel
• Your choice to build it as either Nitro or Electric powered
• High-quality hardware and flying wire is included in the kit
• 4 piece wing for easy transportation
• Big battery hatch
Specs:
Wingspan: 1400mm
Length: 1180mm
RTF Weight: ~3000g (will vary with equipment used)
Recommended:
Electric Motor: 750W
Glow Engine: .46 2 T / .70 4 T
Radio: 2.4GHz 5 channel and up
Servos Function: Ailerons-Elevator-Rudder-Throttle

On all my glow planes, I like to put a drop of med ca on all the screws so the vibration doesn’t back then out. I’ve had servo screws come out to many time for nitro vibration. CA works wonderful.

@darkofc
@darkofc 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip ! (used it many times - but these days seems easier to forgot than learn ;-() ) P.S. Blaž - maine is on way (I hope) :-)) And you probably know very well what engine will go in (gaser - it seems that it never was meant to be for SIG Hog..) - by reports from forums on similar/exact model (VQ/Pichler) - little bit more weight on nose won't hurt .. Things I like to know from your first hand experience: - thrust line - hard to tell from video - did you measured right angle thrust ? (no data in manual, except that distance from prop hub to the firewall is 130mm ) (manual says that bulkhead is pre-set in factory and it looks that holes are a bit offset - suggesting there is some right thrust already built in ..) - are those stock supplied engine mounts ? (left one a bit cut off ) Can you tell servos used (what Tower Pro for Ele and Rudd and what for Ailerons ?) Probably will phone you for some more advices - being in foamies so long that even forgot where my switches are - will make 2 separate Eneloop batt. packs .. P.P.S. Please watch this video - about from 3:00 on - kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6iwcp97j5d_h8U - if anyone I know can help him with advice it is probably you .. P:P:P:S After all these goodies - a very sad news - SIR Bruce from NZ made this video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWOuhKB4rpmfh80 - a word from you can reach very far ..
