杰哥說的對，這種蒙古烤肉是台灣人發展出來的。 台灣的特色是店家提供的各類肉品（牛羊豬雞屬基本款，有的會提供馬肉、鹿肉等等），消費者可吃到飽。很符合當時台灣經濟起飛，人們對物質的需求。 所謂蒙古烤肉，是取其吃肉能像蒙古人那般豪邁痛快的精神！

蒙古烤肉和蒙古实际上没有任何关系。是一个北京人在50年代台北开了家改良的北京烤肉。。但是当时不方便叫北京，所以取名蒙古烤肉

「蒙古烤肉」起源於1950年代的台灣台北市城南新店溪畔的「螢橋遊憩區」（內有流行歌曲演唱，平劇清唱，相聲，鐵板快書，餐飲，茶座，划船遊河）由來自北平的相聲演員吳兆南發明獨創，盛行於1950至1990年代。這種台灣獨有的所謂「蒙古烤肉」其實就是青菜炒肉配芝麻脆燒餅唄。
