Cows definitely have emotions. My Grandma always told stories about her favorite cow. One year, after laboring for a long time, she gave birth to a stillborn calf. Grandma said to her “I’m so sorry Rosie! Your baby didn’t make it.” She said that cow literally had tears running down her face when she told her that her baby died. She said that cow was heartbroken and spent some time in mourning over losing that baby. My Grandma never forgot that. She loved that cow.

This was so painful to watch, especially the pigs. I broke out crying and had to skip through parts. I am happy that I am already vegan, but this was just too hard on me to watch in full. It is good to watch the end and how to be optimistic about how if we build community that we may begin to address these problems in a meaningful way.

This film BROKE MY HEART. These smart, curious, sentient, loving creatures are tortured daily, tortured their ENTIRE SHORT lives. We just have to make a change......people can be extremely selfish, self-indulgent, and blind. In my opinion, films like this should be required viewing. It's too easy to look the other way. I found it SO hard to watch, not because I was afraid to see it, but because it crushes my soul to see an animal suffering so horribly. It's the worst thing I can think of.

@@blackghost6265 Dogs are actually omnivore so would not need to rely so much on meat. Cats are obligated carnivore. However, I recently saw that a US company has been granted 500,000$ to develop vegan pet food including all nutrients. Lab grown meat could also be an interesting option for pets. We are a 'smart' species, we need to think harder.

That one fellow in the film - he finally fully understood when he saw the tears in that baby cow’s eyes. That’s what it took for him to finally quit. I just wish he had taken that baby cow with him & saved the little one’s life too. I suppose he couldn’t though. He would’ve most likely been caught & arrested, and the baby cow sent back to slaughter anyway. It’s a horrible industry. Humans have objectified & abused animals so horrendously over the last several decades, through this ugly ‘food’ industry. Is it any wonder then, that people have gotten so horribly bad about also objectifying, abusing & misusing each other too? Humanity has trained itself to psychosis. Bless, you but I think we all do that. I've been vegan for almost 3 years and ate some cheese at Christmas. I so regret this. But I swear I will never ever eat animal products again. I felt so ashamed and hypocritical. I can't change what I did but I can change what I consume from now on.

@@leeallred4436 Then why is it that when carnists say 'I didn't kill the animal, the farm did!" all the vegans scream that it indeed WAS you who hired the killing of the animal? One way or the other, but it's the same for both sides.

Now that you are eating a vegan (hopefully Whole Food Plant Based) diet, you should be glad you are not only doing your part to help the animals, but also the environment, and your own health!

stress and a poor diet put me in the hospital 3 years ago. I have since been vegan and have been practicing mindfulness. How can I go back to "normal" after all this healing? The combination is life changing.

Oh my god...I knew the meat industry was bad but I didn't know it was this inhumane! Now I understand why my mum is Vegetarian. As a 14 year old, I feel stupid that I did not know about this; they need to teach the truth in schools! My school is on a farm and my friends and I hatched chickens and they have a huge amount of land and are extremely friendly as we give them love everyday, even the roosters are kind. I would hate for this to happen to them, I can't imagine the pain these poor beings are going through, being treated like objects...that's it. I'm going vegan.

nell wtd. I’m trying my absolute best to eat lots of plants and fruit. I don’t eat meat and if I did I tried to make sure it was free range. Plus the thought of meat and cheese kinda freaks me out.

My husband and I went vegan just over a month ago. We had originally done it for health reasons but after watching this documentary it's so much more then that. This completely broke my heart. I love animals and always have. The fact that for so long I just blindly paid for.the torture and horrendous suffering of such beautiful creatures appalls me. I have had a few second thoughts about staying vegan or going back to vegetarian but after this no way! I dont think I'll ever have a doubt again Thank you.

Right you have to cut out ALL ANIMALS PRODUCTS! It will be enough and you'll get enough to eat and become soooo healthy, and loose all the weight you need to loose naturally!! Then a by-product if you will, will be saving all the animals - one person at a time. Just DO IT GO VEGAN! I think I will have a shirt made.

So go vegan?? Hell no, humans are, by nature, omnivores. Yes, be careful with what you eat, but meat is an important part of our diet.

In tears after seeing those poor animals suffer, but spreading the word brings hope for the future. Thank God my eyes were opened 11 years ago and thank God that so many other people are becoming aware of the devastating effects eating these precious beings has on our planet. We can’t make the change quick enough, but as long as like-minded people aware of this information come together to create change and spread this life-saving information, then nothing can stop us. I imagine one day a world of Eden where we live in harmony with all animals and people living off plant based foods and all eating what we were meant to. These animals are here to save us, they are our friends..one day soon I feel the rest of us will be woken up to this reality.
