There should be sufficient vegan foods in Ireland, whiskey and potatoes are vegan, I've seen an Irish vegan in Adelaide Australia. The meat industries want you to feel safe that they're killing cows, it often doesn't work, but lab grown meat is wrong, it does the taking of cells and blood from an animal, stop that! Talk about the department of sensitivity for what you believe in! Why are these things too sentimental for words? It's not rational! It's emotional and irrational! Study solipsism, does an animal have feelings, or is it that you're just doing harm to the animals? If a witch says "if it does no harm, do as thou will", it literally makes it necessary to stop killing animals for meat. :)

Thank you to all directly involved in this production - these films have advanced the consciousness of VEGANISM worldwide by YEARS - by leaps and bounds - even in SOUTH AFRICA we are changing - Cape Town fast - Johannesburg fast - come on Pretoria - still not one Vegan only restaurant in Pretoria - when I think back on all the hurt and suffering I caused by my daily choice of what I consumed I feel a great shame and regret that I did'nt change sooner - it was fishing that started me slowly realising that it can't be right to pull a fish out of its environment with a sharp hook that you lodge into the throat or mouth of your victim - just imagine for a second how that MUST feel - then you toss it into the back of the boat and suffocate it - and then we call it SPORT - being right there as that violence was meted out did change me - stopped fishing at 12 - then took myself off to an abbatoir to watch proceedings - also changes you - seeing the EXPLOSIVE GROWTH over the last 5 years it is starting to look likely that we will be virtually completely VEGAN in 15 to 20 years - a carbon TAX on meat and Parliaments around the world getting more and more VEGANS so that laws will be crafted by VEGAN consciousness very soon - lets just call it a sweet spot - but with increasing ACTIVISM

Or do it for other humans (that are technically animals too). Just wanted to point out that world hunger is caused to some degree by animal agriculture. And the same is true for world thirst. And then there is the humanitarian catastrophe around global warning.
@Chiungalla796 жыл бұрын
@@pxxsa4043 Your way of living violates the golden rule (common to all religions), humanitarian standards, utilitarian ethics, AND Kant's categorical imperative. So it is immoral, no matter which moral system you choose. And that hunted meat is healthier than processed meat is not even sure. Hunted animals often live much longer than those raised in a factory farm. So they have much more time to accumulate environmental poisons over time. What they surely do because there is no way around that. Sure they don't get antibiotics. But I would actually prefer antibiotics over a higher concentration of environmental poisons any day. Because my body can handle antibiotics. But most environmental poisons are accumulated in my body as well, and it is hard to get rid of those.
@Chiungalla796 жыл бұрын
@@pxxsa4043 Why it makes sense to talk about a will to live in animals, it makes no sense to say the same about plants. So the golden rule does not apply to our behavior toward those living things, which do not have a will to live and can't feel pain. And there are actually parts of many plants that the plant produces to be eaten by animals. Ever heard of fruits? Furthermore, if you eat animals you actually do more harm to plants than any vegan. Because those animals are fed with plants. Tons of tons of plants. "Also would that golden rule apply if it was a hungry lion in a cave and you were in it." I'm not stupid enough to get into this situation, so this point is irrelevant. But self-defense is generally acceptable. "This is a dog eat dog world and we are basically animals." It actually isn't any more for humans. We made laws and enforce them to make sure this isn't true anymore. We are still animals, but our animal ancestors never ate this much meat, and since what you tried there is the naturalistic fallacy it doesn't matter anyway. But you should really think twice before you build your worldview on fallacies. Generally no great idea. "Most if not all religions follow the belief that animals are meant to be eaten." Actually, correctly translated, the Abrahamic religions forbid the consumption of meat. The old testament states that we have dominion about the animals. But correctly translated it is the dominion a wise king has over his people. Ever heard of a wise king who eats his people? And then the bible goes on to tell you to eat fruits and seats and stuff... but meat isn't on the list. Buddhistic monks are mostly vegetarian due to their religious beliefs. Jains never harm animals. And then there are all those vegetarians and vegans in India which draw their inspiration for this lifestyle from their religions as well. So, as far as I see it, if people would be really religious and understand their religions, they would be vegetarians at least. But we can agree that many people ignore their religions to the extend that they can eat meat, dairy and fish. "The golden rule does not apply to animals because they dont have the mental capacity that a human does." That's not correct. "Japan is the healthiest nation that eats a lot of unprocessed food involving meat." Japan was the healthiest nation because they ate very little meat and little fish. The tradition Okinawa diet was 95%+ plants. "... you are right but it wont kill you." At least not on the spot. The problem with high meat diet isn't that you drop dead in the very moment. You can actually feel pretty great eating tons of meat (although I never felt as great as on a whole food plant based diet). They will kill you in the long run. And that's what people don't get. You can not say "I like this diet and don't feel bad, so it does not harm me". The only way to see the long term effects is to lock at the scientific consensus. And the result is: Meat is unhealthy. "Veganism is a cult that worships animals as gods" That's bullshit. We just take their pain, suffering, and wellbeing into consideration. If you think that it needs worship to do that you are no nice person.

People generally judge you at the start, but always be kind, open-minded, and sympathize with where they are right now (even if they harshly judge you, because most of us, even I, had judged other vegans). With time, they will be open and more receptive to understanding veganism. Changes start with one, then a group, and then expand to the masses. Stay strong, I wish I started when I was your age.
