Plot Summary
The movie "Hero Hiralal" (1988) follows Hiralal, a Hyderabadi auto-rickshaw driver who is obsessed with Bollywood movies and often gets into fisticuffs. His life changes when he meets Roopa, an upcoming Bollywood starlet, and becomes her tour guide. Hiralal falls in love with Roopa and follows her to Bombay with the intention of marrying her. However, Roopa's family disapproves of Hiralal and pressures her to focus on her career. Hiralal, heartbroken, attempts suicide but is saved by Sitara Devi, a manipulative actress who gives him a new role in her show. In the end, Roopa realizes her true feelings for Hiralal and rushes to confess her love just in time.
The film is a mix of action, comedy, and romance, showcasing Naseeruddin Shah's stellar performance and the vibrant world of Bollywood.
