At 15.13 in the video you stated that the mutation developed by the researchers was something to watch for. I look at it this way, the research report just explained how to develop a new strain of H5N1 that could kill millions of people! This type of research has to STOP!!!!

Some people that have serious conditions now from some of these viruses can't afford another infection. Times have changed and to comply with constant infections is crazy we have moved into a new pandemic era and it'll get worse. Public Health is almost non-existent medications, vaccines, and antivirals aren't immediately available and take time to get out.

I will make this brief but I have been researching this. Check out the CDC wastewater tracker, select the data for upstate NY. Notice Oswego County with an above average amount of influenza A detection last 2 weeks. Next do a Google Trends search for the following criteria: search terms “flu, headache, fever, cough.” Time span: past 90 days. Location - start with NY, zoom to Oswego county on the map. You will see a rapid rise in those search terms/trends beginning in late April - early May 2024, after a relatively flat baseline in Feb, March, and most of April. Exactly the time the wastewater is showing samples for, in exactly the same region (Oswego NY). This implies, because of the search terms, that the flu being detected in the wastewater is in people and not livestock here!

You skipped kansas. It's been high in Kansas consistently. And there was a mutation found in Kansas that makes h5n1 more transmissible recently. That would be something ironic considering the Spanish flu was likely born in Kansas in 1918
@Eniral441

Up until Covid-19, most people didn't realize that know that the 1918 pandemic was called the Spanish flu because they were the only ones reporting on it. It was suppressed in the media of US and other countries fighting in WWI. They think the first known cases were in American soldiers in Kansas that were thereafter sent of to war.

_"So they can spray it out of a airplane"_ That would be difficult. The dispensers would have to be tuned to produce the correct size droplets. Flying high at fast speeds would spread the product too far and in an uncontrolled manner. It would take a long while before it reached the ground, during which time it would be exposed to UV light which would degrade it. Flying at 1,000 to 3,000 ft, would be better, but still much of the product would dry out and be degraded. The yield would be extremely low. It might be more effective to deliver the mink via small parachutes.

I don't remember it, as we had real news to follow like Vietnam war, moon landings and Woodstock where half million people parted for days in the summer of 1969. Your trying to rewrite history. Estimates were 1m to 4m world wide from ~July 68 to winter of 1970, not 4m in a few months. US estimates were 100k and UK with proportionality larger at 80k. I can clearly remember the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico where 2 black Americans gave what was described as Black Power fist salute, I remember nothing of the 1968/69 Flu season. I remember the Vietnam war and shock of My Lai massacre on news in March 1968, yet not the peak of Hong Kong nearly a year later. I remember it was an exciting time watching the BBC coverage night after night in run up to the moon landing with James Burke, Cliff Michelmore and Patrick Moore, it was glorious, not the Woke, snowflake, fearmongering propaganda of the today.

The incidence of Flu was very low during the pandemic for two reasons. 1) The mitigation measures against SARS-CoV-2 worked better against Flu as R0 = 1.5 for the Flu and R0 = 2.5 for the original SARS-CoV-2 virus. 2) When infected by a virus the innate arme of the immune system is upregulated, which reduces the probability of being infected by another virus. SARS-CoV-2 replicate more quickly that Flu, so out competed it.
