I have an EZ30R in an RS, in my opinion, a thousand times better than going with a turbo build. Plenty of power, great sound, no worries about my engine eating itself.

Im in the planning stages of this exact swap. Did you run cable throttle + adapter, or just change to drive by wire?
@johnelliott73752 жыл бұрын
I'm glad that you are able to do this kind of computer work.

What are the main wires you need to get the engine started?
@alexanderbankowski56175 ай бұрын
I'm planning on doing this exact same swap in an 06 9-2x 2.5i. Further down the road I want to add a raptor supercharge kit and truly make it a poorsche. That being the case, would I need to immediately go towards aftermarket ECU? Ideally I would like to run a single ECU so when I get everything tore out to do the swap, I want a strong foundation

Did you make the flashes yourself? Or is there any software you used? I'm getting a car with this engine and no speed limiter is absolutely essential since I intend to track the car

Hi just looking for help I have a 2007 Impreza looking to do EZ30D swap how does it work with the immobilisation side that’s my main worry with the swap I have the engine the ez30 harness and stock ez30 ecu
@Subarukenny_d2 жыл бұрын
If you could share what exact stock EZ30 wiring is required to go though to the ecu to make the engine work, and also if you have any definitions to the ez ecu would be greatly appreciated!
@johnelliott73752 жыл бұрын
That is slick that you are going to be able to hide all the wiring harness.

Sweet swap. What did you use to reflash the H6 ECU?

Is it possible to swap this into a 3rd gen outback? I'm really interested in doing this in the future.
@povertylineracing8167 Жыл бұрын
Like an 05 to 09? I did swap a 05 2.5 outback to ez30d. The drive by wire and canbus systems make it more tricky but the short answer is yes.
@BuckingFeast Жыл бұрын
@@povertylineracing8167 Alright so it is doable. Any major things to note for the canbus system? That's what was worrying me the most.

Depends on how you drive it. Torque + Rs + Grip = mechanical pain. Be respectful coming out of the hole, and you'll be fine.

Yes have a friend that beats on it hard and it’s fine.

nice swap, is this the EZ30-1 or EZ30-2 generation?
@shalopez4202 жыл бұрын
I've been learning about this engine myself, as I own a Tribeca in need of a new engine. The main visual difference between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 is the intake. Gen 1 (2000-2003) has the metal intake. Gen 2 (2003-2007) has a black plastic intake. You can look for subaru wiki and find a lot more information on the various models. Hope this helps.
