Great video. Very good explanation of all of the features. Thanks for this.

It's definitely on my list. I like the 4x2 that handles 2 monitors, I'll have to look into that one more before spending that much. Thanks for the video!

neat review. My main issue with these type of KVMs is that I use that USB port sharing to share a webcam (like you mentioned). However, I don't have a good way to independantly select when the USB switches with the KVM or when it stays where it is. On my IOGear KVM, the buttons on the front let me switch and keep the USB where it is, but if I use the Scroll-Lock Scroll-Lock hotkey, it always switches everything, which is annoying. If there were some settings where you could disable or enable whether the USB moves with the KVM (for all switching methods), I think this would be a home run for me.

Interesting, I did test the extra USB functionality but for me it always switched the extra USB device, whatever switching method was used. You might be able to send them a mail to see if they might have devices that work the way you want?

Nice review. Ordered one a couple of months ago, cannot return now. All my computers and monitors have DisplayPorts instead of HDMI. What is the best solution? Sell this or use adapters? Thanks

There's a bunch of display port to HDMI cables on the market

A quick question was wondering if you try to get into the BIOS or boot menu without having to use a separate keyboard some KVM switches do not allow you to do that until you get into windows so let me know thanks nice video

From what I remember there were no such limitations and it just functions like a normal keyboard including accessing the BIOS, etc.

I'm wondering how 4K HDR works with this thing. It's officially supported it seems, but that's quite a bit harder to support than regular 4K. If my current monitors wouldn't have a built-in KVM I would definitely try the dual monitor version

Great review. Does it work on a wireless keyboard and mouse!

I have used it with it without a problem but generally the simpler type. The more advanced types with lots of software in between might not because it requires the default USB device type for the special ports and to intercept the key functions. Check on their website, they do try to explain a bit.

I know this video is abit old but I have been looking at getting one of their KVM's for quite awhile as well as one of their HDMI switches. If I could just get it so I could get HA to control them I would order them asap lol. I could probably get the 16 HDMI switch to work with the IR but still. I want it to be through the network jack. (yes I am being picky) Just want my automations to work! Have a few in mind for my pc and servers.

Any idea if this KVM supports the daisy chain of monitors?

My Tesmart KVM (model: HKS0401B2U) constantly lights up the display. In other words: the monitor does not go to sleep and the backlight is still on even when all computers connected to KVM are turned off. When the same monitor is directly connected to my computer (i.e. with no KVM in between) the monitor goes to sleep with no problems, so I can be sure that this problem is not related to my monitor itself. Anybody faced such problem and know the solution for it?

Interesting keyboard, or is it a usb-hub that you have attached to your keyboard. From where did u get that?
@IntermitTech2 жыл бұрын
It's a ducky keyboard (forgot which model, at least 10 years old now I think?) with a Belkin F4U041 glued on there a very tiny 7 port USB hub with detachable cable. (www.belkin.com/us/docks-hubs/hubs/7-port-ultra-slim-desktop-hub/p/p-f4u041/)

Just purchased this unit. Good Product. But takes 4 - 5 seconds to switch. Waiting. Waiting Waiting.

are you still using this product ? or something like that?
@IntermitTechАй бұрын
I used it for about 1,5 years but about 6 months ago I changed my setup and had no need for it right now but during those 1,5 years it worked perfectly fine. :)

omg, thanks for your response, @@IntermitTech I was thinking in to have 3 monitors and 2 devices connected , so , monitor1 = device1 monitor 2 = KVM ( d1 and d2 connected) monitor3 = device2 do you think that set up could work? Why im looking this device? cause seems the switching is faster than the 2 / 3 monitors.
