yeah, i think gibbs would have won if Haack didnt do such a good job with the selection. If haack went the next deadlift up, he wouldnt have got it, then gibbs could have won. and if haack went the next deadlift down, gibbs would have been able to as well, and gibbs probably would have got his final DL to take the W

The Strength Doc how much do they weigh when lifting though? Jonnie candito says some people weigh 10-20lbs on the actual day lifting.

I'd say they're both in the 90's as a walking weight, and cut down a bit for the weigh ins. Not as much as the MMA dudes, but still a decent amount.

+Luke Davies mmh, I think very few powerlifters would cut down 15 pounds for competition. Maybe 10, I don't know.

John Haack walks around at like 85-87. He doesn't cut much for the meets. Can't say the same for Gibbs however.

no this is not equipped just belt and knee sleeves

they are only wearing a singlet - it does not aid the lift. Singlet + belt + knee sleeves = raw. Squat suit/DL suit/Bench suit/knee wraps = equipped.

when I look at it now that probably ain't true. You can tell Bret was the favorite but things didn't go his way and pretty much everything went right for haack. But I think haack is the favorite this year coz he can squat 300kg plus and I don't think Bret had it in him to do that in competition yet
