My father told me the story of a ‘loyal dog’ that waited for its deceased master at a train station for 10 years, when I was a young boy ~ 36 yrs ago ( in 1985). My father did not know the name of the dog. I always remembered the story because it touched a part of my heart which only such a beautiful & sad story could. I found this movie by accident recently and watched it with my father yesterday (2021). My father loved it. It was a truly great bonding experience with my pop. To think, a dog, whose owner died almost a century ago, half a world away, could have such an emotional impact on my life and memories ... it’s unbelievable. It’s simply incredible. Love you Hachiko. You and your extreme loyalty is something, we humans, could and should learn from. 🙏🏼

It’s a beautiful but sad story . I watched this movie for the first time when I was 4 and I’m now 13 . I can never not cry when I watch this . But this will eventually happen to everyone . It’s sad but true . But we’ll be with whom we love . Hatchi passed on peacefully by dreaming of his owner . He is in heaven now and he is safe . Rip . May god be with that dog and all dogs for their loyalty and love

I was showing this video to my 5yo daughter, as a substitute for a sleeping tale. We were doing just fine, but after a while, I started shedding tears. I was just drying the tears with my hands and then, I heard my daugther was crying also. We were just watching there until the end, my daughter was full in tears, so I hugged her and tried to calm her. This is my most favorite movie of all times! I watch it at least twice a year. From the very beginning when you hear that piano playing you just start crying, you can't help it! Anyone who have a heart, cannot help but cry. It just shows you, the love between humans and canines is unconditional. There's no greater Love in the world. I miss my best friend so much, she died January 9th 2012 and it seems like yesterday that she went away. So it's my heart and soul, but we'll see each other again someday I know we will. Just like in this movie except I guess the rules to reversed I'm the one waiting for my little angel to come back. Anyone who hasn't seen this movie, please do it will become your favorite also, trust me on that! 🙏🕊️🙏
