Los Olivos is not just holiday apartments, many people live there all year round. High quality apartments and lovely gardens, improvements being made now that the community themselves are in charge. Look forward to seeing your revisit in July!

We were coming to HDA in March but unfortunately we've heard from residents that the golf course is in bad condition and locals are using the course to exercise their dogs... We've booked 16 nights at El Valle and will be investigating the GNK courses as possible places to move to permanently

This is the only place I have seen with no dog signs in children's public areas, so maybe they are cracking down on it. La Torre are pretty strong on keeping dogs and walkers off the golf course. New course owners on Condado have fenced the golf course off.

@ fairways should also be green and not brown ... Those fairways need water before the grass is beyond saving ... It's a real shame that it's being neglected because it's a superb design and the practice facilities and 6 hole practice course would be ideal for our son to get pre competition season ready... Plus the price HDA are charging for green fees for a course in that condition is ridiculously expensive...

Thx Shaun, we stayed there for 2 nights a month ago before flight home for a change. Very quiet, clean apartment ,nice food in that golf restaurant you went to!

Just got to camposol for my 11 days. First time back for 8 years. Picked a warm day. Was -2 degrees this morning in Edinburgh airport my face was numb. Let's hope it stays like this or better while I'm here haha. If you're in condado I'll give you a wave 😂🤚 Scott

Hi Shaun, when you visit Condado golf resort they have a full time golf professional now, with academy’s for the kids etc his name is Jerónimo and his is originally from Holland , make sure you ask for him when you’re there, Eddy

Spain is getting expensive for property. They still have bank repossessions on HDA so I’m sure it will soon fill up with new owners as it’s one of the more affordable places to buy right now

We went in the summer and it was busy. The hotel was full and we couldn’t get a table a a restaurant without prior booking. Things have changed a lot since the hotel opened.

great review! I like the out and about the town and amenities. That price is very good, you'd never see it in the states....Probably 2-3 times minimum.... The monthly isn't too bad considering the pool, sports areas, and so on. It sounds like you can buy the apartments as well so close to the golf course....

Driven up there a few times over the years expecting it to get busy but it always seems like a ghost town. I always tell the guy at the gate "we're going to the restaurant" they must be laughing inside as we drive out 10 mins later.

January 8 is a Monday, and the first school and work day after the christmas holidays. That means during the daytime, kids are at school and people are at work. Hacienda del Alamo is a mixed resort where many people live permanently, and others have a second home.

Rented a villa there many years ago, the whole place was a Ghost town. Flies were insane ( and I could see you having fun with those buggers at the beginning of the video ) some of those area's / pools are in an awful state, HOW owners are paying a monthly fee to keep the place in top shape ? Was that entire block bank repo so they just dont bother fixing anything ?

Really interesting Shaun, nice place. Just got my IBI and I am guessing by the price of your IBI that must be a part year bill as we complete the purchase next week. It was only 401 euros for a 3 bed 3 bath on a 750m plot.

A shame it's all so brown. I'm hasitant to buy one of these.. Looks good from a far but when you look closely on kyero photos you see the houses are not well kept and a bit run down on the outside.. 120€ for comm fee and nothing maintained also worries me.. To buy or not to buy..
