Buddy it worked 💪 you have to restart the mazda infotainment system every now & then as it sometimes doesn't connect to anroid Auto. But it works 100% after that. I'm impressed

@@glagarwal Hello, yes, it only works back up again after you turn the car on and off again. Sometimes it ill work for like 10 mins then freeze. Other times itll work perfectly. It is very glitchy! But most of the time works. I found closing ALL your apps prior to connecting helps and not messing with the phone while you are connected. Hope this helps

This actually worked! I'm loving the AA! I did every step by step instructions you did in the video. At first I thought I bricked it after using AA for the first time. I turned everything off while AA was running. I double tapped the Start button, and I could not go pass the default menu and everything froze. Keep in mind I have yet to turn the engine on the whole time since I installed AA. Then waited about 20 mins because I was doing research to how to uninstall and go back to factory settings. Came back to my car and turned the engine on and everything was back to normal! AA worked perfectly with the knob, Google assistant works with car voice promt button, and the back button worked in the menu for Google maps, Waze, Pandora, Google Music and I'm sure on Spotify as well. Keep in mind you have to keep your phone plugged in to the car the whole time while using AA via USB port. I did not know about that part.

Yes, only one USB can run Android Auto. The new plastic peace has a smartphone symbol with an arrow… And you get a one hour long update.

I'm using aio mazda tweaks for change wallpaper, speedometer, themes, etc.. but now suddenly entertainment system seems error.. evertime in ACC / START ENGINE.. Screen only ON for 2 minutes than shutdown.. screen OFF Audio off.. all OFF.. I can't do anything trying to hard reset and factory reset nothing happen .. screen only restart / reboot.. not delete the tweaks... O regret to do this

You have to update your software first, there's another procedure for that, just look for "update software for the mazda infotainment", and then come back to this procedure.

I installed way more tweaks onto my Mazda like a custom theme, custom background, and stuff like no reverse disclaimer, menu layout change, and the screen cast mod, and have had no problem. If you follow the steps accordingly and do your research on different Mazda forums on Reddit or mazda3revolution then you should encounter no problems

Nicely done video. Though one question, how long should it take to compile? Seems like it's taking forever. Says "Compiling...Please Wait....Files for ssh_bringback copied successfully!" Is it done with compiling all files or not? Update: had a bunch of options selected, then reduced it to the basics you had chosen in the video and it finished in seconds. It works pretty well. Though the usb port doesn't quite provide enough power if doing anything other than simply trying to recharge your phone (at least for Android). Thx.

It also works on my 2017 Toyota Yaris IA with system OS start with 55!! However, make sure you have a GOOD cable. So far it only works when I use the original cable.

​@@petergarcia4078 yup, it will show the Mazda logo instead of Toyota (which is not a bad thing, haha). If AA doesn't shows up after you connect your phone, you can try connecting it with the cable that come with your phone's package.The best buy manufactured cable also work on my car. Just don't use any cheap cable from Amazon. P.S. Sometime the screen will turn completely black but the system is still running (you can hear the sound and all the controls are still working), especially after you switch from R to D. Seems like it is because the computer doesn't have enough RAM to run AA. If that happen, you need to disconnect your phone and do a hard reset. I would recommend you only run 1 to 2 apps at one time.
