Well aren't you just the clever boy!! I love it - that is a slick way to bypass that foolish safety crap without altering the machine in any way. Now I have to ask you what you do for a living. That machine ain't cheap - $16K last time I looked. It is last and best REAL garden tractor on the planet. I am an old guy so I have a JD 318, a JD 212 and a JD 140 garden tractors, but the 758 is the real dream machine. Congratulations Stu. Art from Ohio PS; That 758 cost 5x what a brand new 1969 Mustang Mach1 cost!!!! FIVE TIMES!!!!

@@studiy0702 What a coincidence!! My brother bought one brand new, it was Gulfstream aqua with a 351 automatic and it cost $3200.00.

@artszabo1015 that’s cheap now days compared to new ones. But you still can’t beat per emissions muscle cars. A guy could afford to work on them back then. At least from what my dad says

To each his own, but if you need to shut the deck off quickly for any reason you might be screwed. The weights on the back are called starter weights and they weigh 72 lbs each.

I guess worst case scenario I would just turn the mower off.. yes I know it’s hard on the tractor doing that but quick is quick ya know. Thank you during the video the weight of them and true name I forgot haha. Sometimes it’s hard to talk to the camera it’s like talking to yourself at times.. thanks for your comment I’ll remember that if I mention them again.

Pull the RIO switch out of the dash with a little tug. Jump the two terminals with a short piece of wire. Push it back in the dash. Problem solved.
