Hack9 [PC] Gameplay

The beginning of the game is pretty rough, so in this clip I show how to get an HP Boost item that should make things easier.

Is this running on the cave story engine? Or just similar ui and sprite work?

The physics are very similar as well. I believe it's just an imitation that doesn't share any of Cave Story's code. In the ending credits it explicitly mentions Cave Story as an inspiration.

Well the legs move at least. Quote's animations from Cave Story were pretty simple too, but moving his arm around definitely made him feel more alive.
