Also had an R5 and RD350 (pe LC) back in the day. A scratcher's dream. Used to ride it to the race track. Race it and ride home. Did a 4-hour endurance once and we came 10th.

Dino, after watching the cb750 build since the very beginning i'm so happy that you could finally take it for a test drive, i'm hoping that the project goes in the way that you want it. Keep on the good work mate!
@DaPiit8 жыл бұрын
Congrats on getting it to run. Aside from making the work look easy, you make the persistence look easy too. Getting this far in any bike project would be a once in a life time achievement for most of us mere humans. Inspirational as always.

Congrats, Dino. Nothing like that first test ride on a bike you've built yourself....well, except maybe the first time you get it out on the road and get to see all the stares and people admiring it. Nice job on the build and videos. Always enjoy your stuff.

Wow! I've waited so long for this moment when you finally get to drive it! Of course theres always stuff left to do, but it has been really great watching you do this series. When you announce that you're done withe the series I pledge to send you a donation!

I Found a 1977 Honda CB 750 Four K on craigslist for $100, and this is the first time doing a bike so me and my dad are so happy to find someone working on this type of bike! Might have to ask a few things over a time period if thats ok. (as in we might need some pointers.) thank you!

Congratulations on your new (running) bike! Lovely and informative series, as usual. That said, I did enjoy the Sabre build a fair bit more, just because it was a personalized project and not a rebuild. Here's to hoping that you sooner or later get around to a third build!

Oooooo... An RD350... You rebel. Ha-ha... I had an RD250 many (, many) moons ago. Nice work on the Honda; it's looking and sounding really good.

I thought you'de knock up a liquid manometer yourself. I have one I made yonks ago that works really well. I also tune my carbs around 3000 rpm as well as idle for nice smooth cruising. Well done. Good to see it up and running

Looking forward to an episode on installing the front brakes...particularly on how to install the pads and put things back together. How long before you get to that do you think? Extremely useful series, thank you

Suggestion...get a ratted out Ninja/CBR 250 and convert it to electric. You seem like the perfect guy for that. We can fund the batteries.
@123vaw1238 жыл бұрын
meh' better off with a small turbo diesel, but to figure out a manual transmission would take some serious fab
@StanleyKubick18 жыл бұрын
+Alexander Helton just throw a torque converter on it and call it a day =)
@knikula8 жыл бұрын
sounds pretty nice... do you have to rejet the carbs? looks like a pipe is going blue already?
@DeanSegovis8 жыл бұрын
+knikula I won't get to that until I get it on the road so I can do a proper tune.

Have fun syncing those carbs with pod filters! :)
@DeanSegovis8 жыл бұрын
+Nate Pinkley I'm not going to use the pods and having them on there wouldn't make a difference in syncing them anyway. Tuning them with pods would be another story. I'll be using the stock air box with a K&N filter.
@natepinkley8 жыл бұрын
+Dean Segovis you would be surprised! I have the exact same bike year and all. I fiddled with getting it synced with pods for weeks. I got it to where it would run decent but stumbled between 2800-3000 rims at higher speeds. ended up putting the stock box back on with a k&n filter. Runs like a champ now!
@natepinkley8 жыл бұрын
+Dean Segovis let me rephrase that... they will sync fine but getting it to run right is a different story.

Dino, which rear shock is that? Are you satisfied with it?
@HackaweekTV8 жыл бұрын
Cheap China shock. It's barely adequate. I'll probably upgrade to Hagons this summer. www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/catalog/partdetail.aspx?PartNo=33501SA1
