This movie is so awesome! It introduced me to techno/trance music. I finally got it on my iPod. I rememeber when the 1st music cd came out, it was hard to find for some reason. I finally found it at the San Diego Comic-Con in '96. The follow up cd's are pretty cool, too.

That was called Grand Central Station by Guy Pratt. It's an unreleased song. I had to download it from Limewire. Awesome song, isn't it? It also plays through the credits at end after Squeeze's "Heaven Knows". Guy Pratt also does the song that playa as Dade is trying to figure out the code for the worm. Haven't been able to find that one since it was unreleased on any cd.

I just purchased the Hackers Soundtrack and the ONE song I wanted is NOT even on the CD!!! Its the song that is playing with Zero Cool/ Crash OverRide goes into Acid Burns room and plays with her laptop by himself. ANY answers on the name of this song!?!?? PLEASE!! I remember being fifteen years old watching this, it was on television at the military school I was forced into going to, so it must have been a few years old. All these dudes seemed to live in a place that seemed so bad ass, so unlike where I lived. Who fucking wore clothes like they did? No one I had ever seen, but they rocked it out like it was a common thing. I guess that's what happens when you put cool people in nerd roles and put a bad ass soundtrack behind it.

a bit of both - by and large they're new (or had at least been rejected by the producers for the first one), but you can spot some of the original score on the 3rd, and the 2nd has a couple songs used in the movie

There isn't actually a Hackers 2 or 3, they just released 3 versions of the soundtrack titled "Hackers", "Hackers 2" and "Hackers 3" - which inevitably caused alot of confusion On the other hand, bootlegs of the movie "Takedown" are sometimes called "Hackers 2"
