This is awesome! I wanted to add that I sometimes move the anchor point and re-center the clip so that the transforms aren't happening perfectly from the center for more variety. Also if you flip to the graphics panel it will reveal a preview of exactly where the anchor point has been moved to. Super handy when I want it to transform from a specific area in the clip instead of the center. Like zoom out from the bottom left corner or something like that.

Hi! You both helped me with something I was having trouble with and prompted me to suggest a little WATCH OUT to viewers. I was away from editing for a while, and when I came back I forgot where to find certain effects, like 'transform'. There are TWO. The one used in this excellent tutorial is nested under 'Distort'. There is a whole stack of effects under an altogether different 'Transform'. That's not it. I hope this helps.

*I have this issue* where using transform with position panning (on a clip scaled to 140) treats the clip as if 140 is 100 causing the black adge to appear on one side as it pans. The purpose of this pan preset is to use an adjustment layer over multiple cut up talking head clips while avoiding nesting the actual clips. *Any Thoughts to help?*

ah I see what you mean. if you nest the clips you'll get a similar result. In this case I think you'll need to put the transform effect on the actual clip.

It’s just edit on the screen recording. Although I’ve changed the “add edit” shortcut to my “E” key so cuts are super fast and easy

I liked the tip with the adjustment layer to fade out the other clips, could come in handy. My handle is thomas;scherner, but with a dot instead of the semicolon (comment gets deleted if I write it correctly).
