Hey Shane, in addition I recommend re-watching the following movies (only considering Atmos Tracks): - Kong: Skull Island - IT: Chapter One - Mad Max: Fury Road - Deepwater Horizon - Arrival With the Trinnov you really experience when a movie has good sound (editing, mixing, design, recording).

It looks good but the big battle left a lot to be desired to me. It was one cliche after another. Add in war porn. Aka when they are walking up the hill towards their forward positions, and the truck driver by with bodies in back. Never happen that way. Face down and heads towards the cab. No reason to demoralize soldiers. And then the cliche. Way too many guys getting hit in the head, pulling a grenade pin with teeth, picking up half a body and running and firing with it. A bar is heavy. And then the goofy sniper scene. No way anyone knows where he is. It had it's moments but those scenes dragged me right out of the movie. Looks great doesn't make it a great movie. Visuals? 9/10. Historical accuracy? 6/10 sound? 9/10. Mad use of war cliches and war porn? 9/10

Found your channel earlier last year when I got a 4k tv and player. One of the first movies I got and it blew me away. Love the channel, especially the movie breakdowns. Hacksaw Ridge is straight demo worthy!

Looks way too violent for my taste. Usually the fewer obnoxious gunshots the better the movie (imho). There are some exceptions.

@@GuitarGuy5000000000 enjoy sir Both are amazing Hacksaw had a little less action for 60+ minutes than SPR, but it ends in the most spectacular manner from a war story perspective. The difference is especially startling when you compare how one movie starts vs the other action wise. Both are excellent Both are active from an object, channel and overhead perspective. Absolute sonic treats.

I don’t believe that it’s worth to buy 4K Disc with full price somehow(didn’t watch it but it might be a dumb war movie) but it was only 3,99$ on US iTunes two weeks ago and sadly we don’t have DV+DA version on German Store. It is just straight HD. I hate German iTunes Store. The movies getting 4K+Atmos upgrades either too late or one of them or not getting any updates.

I bought the iTunes version with Midway bundle. Jesus this movie looks at least as good as physical disc movie. I was blown away with it that offers jaw droppingly good picture and sound quality via Apple TV 4K. The war scene has deffo demo worthy Atmos track.

Just saw this a few days ago, has good audio moments but not a huge fan. The story had a weird mix of “comedy” from sarge in an otherwise serious movie. Second half of the movie was the best for sure.

@sparechange Hi there's a discussion about region locked 4K discs. Have you seen any discs that won't play? It's not possible to set a region lock in the authoring program they use. They mention Greenland 4k from Scandinavia and others.
