Just a little tip, when you show a forwarded email like this, try to hide everything that could compromise the email and the sender. In the video we can see the title of the email (the title is visible on top of the window) and the timestamp, which could be used by a employer to find out who leaked an email. In this case its probably fine since it was sent to a customer but its just something to keep in mind in the future.

When it comes to ransomware, the FBI does not recommend paying. Also if the threat actor is on the Treasury Departments Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) list, then all US organizations and citizens are "forbidden" from conducting business with them, including paying ransoms. People or organizations that violate this can be subject to severe penalties. Now whether or not our government has actually enforced that, I have not heard.
