Agree with you 💯, after just 3 plays the game already starts feeling samy

Again, you’ve saved me money! I had to look up “munchkin” as a verb

I own 7 Wonders, Leaders, Cities and Armada. No reason to go after a 7 Wonders killer.

I would have used a completely different "Monkey!" movie clip... As it played, I heard Jack Sparrow's voice. In all seriousness, when I heard "Seven Wonders killer," I figured this game wouldn't be for me because I don't care much for Seven Wonders. I bought the app and played it a few times, thought I might like it more with a group, but I was disappointed at how little I interacted with everybody. My multiplayer solitaire game of choice of this type would be Sushi Go! Less complex, faster. I do like the look of the board of Hadara, though. It seems very clear, with appealing colors. The toddler in me approved, haha.

The Babel expansion and kind of Armada do increase interaction a bit. Jack Sparrow could have worked as well, but I just love that Monkey quote! :P It's like he entered his second childhood.

Thank you for another honest review, I will not be looking at this game, but will be buying 7 wonders

I think I want more in a game than get cards, move up a track, buy more cards, get points. What am I missing? Is the exciting part sliding the marker to the right?
@TheBrokenMeeple5 жыл бұрын
There isn't an exciting moment, that's the problem. Everything is about moving up tracks. For a few plays the smooth mechanics are fun, but why would I come back to that?

@@TheBrokenMeeple Got it, thanks. I thought I missed something when I watched Rahdo, so I watched yours too figuring you'd shoot straight

You compare this to a few other games but i was hoping to hear a comparison with Medieval Academy as they are basically the same game with the drafting and racing for points in the field of choice with a few small differences namely the theme.

Not played Medieval Academy - looked very boring! :P

I think the only advantage this has on 7 Wonders is the 2 players. This feels more like 7 Wonders two player than 7 Wonders Duel does. I guess I do think this is significantly easier to teach as well. So two advantages... (: haha

Sadly it gets boring after less plays 😜

Thank you Luke. Bought this one during my Barcelona trip (its language independent) but did not unwrapped it yet. Replayability is much important for me and it seems much low here. Putting it on my "To Sell/Exchange" shelve. Take good care!

Do you actually like any game? I understand that taste is subjective and you give very argumentative reasons for not liking games, but I can see here people commenting on giving up even on trying a great (according to everyone else) game just after hearing your review... well, I guess they can blame themselves for trusting one single negative review.

If this game is that great why is it not more popular and played more than it currently is? Also anyone who watches my content knows that the majority of my reviews are generally positive, just look at the last bundle I've done. Don't generalise based on one single video. Also didn't I give this game a 6? That's above average. Which is still generally positive. I would play this game just not own it or specially request it on a game night. Not every game needs a 10/10 rating to be considered good but apparently that's the mentality of many gamers lately, anything less than 10 is considered terrible. But when I have issues with the game I'm going to give constructive criticism about it and let people make up their own minds about it.
