UPDATE: Early Access Patch 2 brought balance changed and reworks to the weapons and their aspects! As I expect future balance changes I won't be updating the video until Hades 2 officially releases, the major points about each weapon and how they play still apply but some specifics have changed. 80% of the folks who hate the torches don't realize that you're expected to use the specials most of the time. The two other aspects change how the attack works and makes it worth a damn, but for default/Melinoe aspect, you gotta spin to win.

I fully understand that, but I still find them to be a frustrating experience because without a high rarity Hermes boon your special animation is slightly too slow, leading to enemies being able to smack you. This leads to a frustrating experience where you either play a Sprint/Attack spam build or have to weave attacks and specials to have by default what all other weapons have simply for spamming attack.

I think a lot of people understand the special is better than the attack, but it still has significant issues. It doesn't stagger enemies like other weapons do which, combined with their lacklustre range, makes them surprisingly dangerous to use. High risk for fairly low reward.

One thing that works great with the umbral flames is poseidon's spirit bubble boon. Since that seems to be the only way to recover magic while channeling. So if you're accurate and/or lucky, you can spend entire fights just channeling the attack and dashing to avoid attacks (which doesn't break the channeling) this works especially well with aspect of eos since the dashes bring the projectile back too. With a good attack boon it's pretty good consistent damage which you can do at decent range

Aspect of Persephone seems bugged at the moment. The extra omega special duration is really inconsistent and it's either not working as intended or the tooltip is just wrong.

So far, I have beaten Chronos with the torches and the skull, but my favorite out of all of them is the axe

The axe is a great weapon! The torches are (so far) the only weapon I've struggled to beat Chronos with.

@@Tenkiei The skull took me a while to get the hang of, but I’m getting better with it. The torches are my weakest weapon so far. Everything else I’m pretty good with.

Skull was my first win, probably because Aspect of Hera and Aspect of Beowulf were 2 of my most played in Hades 1 and the skull is kinda like a combination of them both.

Sister blades are kinda broken Omega attack hits so insanley hard And if you get One of couple strong Hammer upgrades (backstab damage or Omega attack damage ) Its not oneshoting bosses but ive hit 1500 hits with it

Backstab builds are very fun! I haven't hit for 3000 yet but I've seen some ~1000 hits which is really satisfying.

Aspect of Moros for the torches is absolutely busted, you just need to stack the primary attack o top of the enemies and charge after with the seccondary charged, it can be difficult at the start but I love and I'm having a blast with it, who would have thought that the ranged weapon for the game would be maximized taking risks and going melee.

A lot of the ranged weapons function well in melee, Aspect of Momus on Descura and Aspect of Medea on Revaal are two of my favorite build archetypes.

anyone know how to get wool for the aspect of pan? ive seen busted builds with aspect of pan and i havent been able to stumble upon wool.

So I have all 5 weapons unlocked but I never got the incantation you describe and I can't seem to unlock the aspects. Do you know if you have to use all the weapons also before you get the incantation?

From my understanding, you need to beat Hecate with Revaal.

Yesterday I clear my first surface run and the blades are my current favorite. Got 2 hammers to increase the damage for regular attack and I was doing 600-900 when charging my attack. Sometimes even 1,800 so that made me beat Eris the first time I fought her. Unsure if there’s some high damage dealing builds

I know 2 very high dmg builds.The staff focused on spamming specials(with poseidon) and the blades focused on special(with aphro).I m sure you can find them on yt if you look up syrobe+

highest dmg build ive had is hook knives + the one that shoots all around you with aphro special on blades, i parried and 1shot everything when sitting on it

Aspect of medea is completely broken with the right boons. Zeus and hera, blitz and lightning. I killed chronos without using any cheat deaths.

I've had fun using Medea with Aphrodite as well since you always point-blank stuff when detonating on impact.

I'm not 100% sure the unlock condition for the Incantation but it showed up for me shortly after I unlocked the Argent Skull.

Sister blades and Momus staff are hands down the best so far. Skulls are definitely a close 3rd with base aspect. Really love how they opened up the combat with these weapons and new mechanics

I don't like hestia, I think she is really undertuned right now. The only boon that hestia has that's better then what other gods can give you is her ranged cast boon which has more range then zeus'. Her DoT dmg is really weak and basically worthless on any enemy with armor. On bosses they have so much health I'd rather have more dmg or survivability instead of a small tick of dmg. I really hope they bring her around to the strength of dionysis because her boons seem fun but do too little.

You'd be surprised at how effective DoT stacking can be, provided you have a setup capable of striking rapidly. My opinion might change as I push fear but so far I'd put Hestia among one of the stronger options.

@dorjjodvobatkhuu6457 no they aren't, daggers with aphrodite attack and any omega attack hammer is op. Waiting 30 seconds for the dot to finally break the armor or waiting 2 years for the dot to kill cerberus isn't op.

@Tenkiei I want to agree because she is fun but looking back on my chronos fights or even the eris fights it's much better to go with raw dmg because extending the fight even 30 seconds could mean a loss. Also what weapons are good with hestia besides the daggers, like is it the torches augment that makes the ballons stick around untill hit with the special?

@@helfire9562 You don't entirely rely on DoT by the way, you get other boons as well so empower your attacks or cast
