Hadleigh (1976) Series 4, Ep 4 "Echoes" (with Myra Frances) Full Episode - British TV Drama

Jennifer is still in the States, but Hadleigh is constantly reminded of her by the presence of his god-daughter, with whom he has a similarly stormy relationship. Everyone seems to be trying to save both Melford and James's marriage. But are their motives always what they seem?
The smoothly scheming Gregory Baker pays a visit to Melford. He’s the young financial whizkid who has so far come up with business deals for Hadleigh that haven’t really worked out. This time he tells James that an Arab-English consortium would love to buy Melford from him, even allowing him to stay on at Melford itself for the rest of his life. At this stage James is still in dire straits financially so can’t afford to dismiss the offer out of hand as much as he would like to.
A surprisingly tense episode that once again revolves around Jennifer without her actually being in it. Myra Frances who plays Stella Clisby seems to specialise in these tough women roles in the seventies.
First broadcast Friday 26th March 1976.

The character of James Hadleigh first appeared in a 13 Episode series called Gazette en.wikipedia.o...) , as a millionaire who relocates from London to Yorkshire and buys a local newspaper founded by his father many years before.
