The absolute best way I've found to use Poseidon cast is with Dark Side. There's an upgrade on the path that makes your regular cast have the effects of your omega cast, so you just get to spam it since it dispels instantly

Poseidon works really well with dark side in general coz the cast upgrade isn't guaranteed, so if you get the attack upgrade path instead (your attack boons apply to dark side attack) even that works incredibly well since you spam attack so fast

I did a run recently. Took chaos keepsake and got +145% gold. Took a chaos gate and got +165% gold. I tried like hell to get the duo but it didn't happen😢 i had almost 9k gold by the time i got to chronos.

I’ve put ~60 hours into Hades 2 and have maxed all the pets, cauldron, weapons and aspects (that I want to use), and most of the keepsakes. Redownloaded OG Hades which I haven’t played in over a year. Got my booty handed to me. That’s all, that’s the comment. Great video!

Did a bit of maths: if he’d have pommed born gain in the Oceanus shop when he had 170 mana, the total would have been 7310 lol. That’s over 487 omega casts. By the end he wouldve had 13689 total mana, which is over 900 omega casts

Here's hoping the things that get nerf only get a minor nerf, leaving them powerful while making them less the unambiguous best option. The "2x Special" Hammer could easily be something like "fire 2 homing shots, each dealing 80% damage" or whatever, while Born Gain could just have its base "prime X magick when refilling" increased by 2 or something. Priming more MP per refill would make it still super effective at higher MP totals, forcing you to actually build into a little.

as tragic of a nerf as it would be, i'd probably make born gain a percentage based boon, starting out at 20-30% at common and then maybe 5-10% at heroic. at least then it'll continue to be something you'll have to manage instead of throwing everything out with no consequences because you only need to prime 10 magick or something lol

@@conorhannon3352 It would be unfortunate if they did this, because right now it scales really effectively with max MP, which feels like good design. Changing it to a percentage-based priming would eliminate the scaling aspect of more max MP giving you more refills. I would aim to it okay at "normal" max MP values (it doesn't have to suck, since it is the only magick regen boon in the game that doesn't offer unlimited regeneration) and absolutely shine if you're willing to "build" into it. That should be achievable just by upping the base prime value. That also has the neat thematic touch of making it very much the opposite of Zeus's magick regen boon, which gives you a super low max MP cap.

Build suggestion: Aspect of Charon - Ω Special channel speed Daedalus - Hera special - Hera cast (200% cast time) - Solar ring (damage after Ω Cast) Hitting your cast with your Ω special procs aspect of Charon + Solar ring and you can do it 3-4 times per cast due to channel speed boon.

My guess for Born Gain nerfs is that it gets +10 to the amount primed at all rarities, and also probably shouldn't be able to be pommed anymore. With where it is now it completely invalidates any need to manage your magick at all

I feel like if they want to nerf double moonshot, they should reduce the damage by at least 30% and at most 50% for each shot, that way all the boons that make use of the double shots like Poseidon and hestia is still there while the damage isn’t over board

I feel like that's a Lazy Way of Going about it... My Suggestion would be they should have Better Telegraphing on all Attacks and Limit the number of Enemies that can Attack Simultaneously.... That way Damage remains high but is Irrelevant for those who have "Gotten Gud" 😎

Golden rule did affect the poseidon cast (you can see it in the fight with cerberus as numbers go up) which was the only damage source before daddy cast, howling soul however deal additional damage and it wasn't affected by golden rule, only by chaos, which is weird. Chaos indeed rised the poseidon damage. More so i didn't see cast crit after you took howling soul or maybe i just missed it.

Yea it's not really fun to play. As far as special focused goes, I'm having much more fun with aspect of pan daggers. It's not quite as strong unless you get legendaries but it's a little easier to build since there's two good hammers instead of one, and two decent choices for special boon.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this, but there's a difference between additive percentage increases and multiplicative percentage increases. I'm not a math person but I know this is a thing from Diablo 4, where getting multiplicative percentage gains is what you want for your damage. You don't want additive percentages because those are so much worse.

Well yeah, don't need to be a math person to figure that out. Unless the flat damage increases are bonkers levels of high of course multiplicative ones will be better. Think of it this way. If you had 10 of something and were trying to get more, would you want a flat 2 more or 40% more?

it probably depends on the context too if the additive is applied to *base power* before multiplicative buffs, those are also pretty valuable, and they can also potentially outclass the multiplier if they're given to something with already low base power, such as the daggers' or staff's specials if the base is already high though (like axe swings or most Omega moves), then yes, go for multiplicative buffs instead

If I had to Guess... I would of assume all Percentage Increases only apply to the Base.... Meaning all Similar Percentage Increases are Addative with Each Other. Atleast that would be the Smart Way to program it. And I believe Supergiant is Smart. 🤓

You should try a cast build with the Artemis boon called Silver Streak. It's bugged, I think the game fails to remove the damage buff when you move to the next chamber, so your omega moves just continuously get stronger and stronger for the whole run. I had my Zeus cast doing 300 damage per lightning bolt tick with it. I did report it a while ago but it didn't get fixed in the latest patch because I just tested it again tonight. I have a couple videos on my channel showing it.

Ngl, the Hera/Hephaestus Duo boon for +200% DMG if your Atk/Spc/Cast aren't empowered by boons feels much more powerful. It'd take 4000 gold to just match it, and since poseidon's flat damage can't be increased by any other source other than rarity and poms, Aphrodite might be a better choice for Hoarding Duo, or at least any other +% Damage god.

Can confirm you cannot get duos from trials. I do not think you can get legendries either though a bit less sure on that. Have been experimenting with the fear thing that permanently removes boons from the pool and have a few times gone into trials with no boons viable but legendries and duos and they are always unavailable.

I honestly don’t know if moon water needs to be nerfed as much as the other hexes need to be buffed to be on its level. There are other good ones, but none that feel as universally useful and easy to use as moon water, and I think making those feel better is a better idea than nerfing moon water into the ground

@@dnys_7827 Yeah, with one exception that I know of so far, it's 2 Nectars for anyone who can give Mel boons OR non-boon rewards (SPOILERS ahead for who those are) So Arachne, Echo, and Icarus all follow that logic as well. I'm like 90% sure that Narcissus and both friendly witches on the surface also follow the logic, but they all only have a nectar each so I can't officially verify yet The only exception that I've come across so far is a certain someone you can find in Tartarus, and that's mostly because you're literally unable to get him up to two nectars as of now, so it happens after talking to him enough times instead.
