I’m not sure if it’s a boon undeserving of love. It’s definitely pushed me over the edge to a W several times. Solid boon imo

@@williambehan7681 absolutely. thing is, i definitely do my damnedest to get it on any run i'm on, but to haelian's point: you (generally) should prefer hunter's mark to it. (not to even mention PP... take that regardless) but it tends to be more a fun factor thing for me than it is practicality. and there's nothing particularly wrong with that; this is a game, after all.

yeah, i also have a big love for support fire, especially on gauntlets or Chiron bow. What can i say, seeing a bunch of arrows go brrrrrrrr is fun XD

Playing Hades casually at low heat is honestly super easy, and I think that’s why I and many others love support fire. It’s a really fun boon, in a game where good boons aren’t really necessary.

I feel like what people *actually* want to see here is just a max attack speed build with support fire lol. I think a chain lightning/attack speed/support fire build with the fists or chiron bow would probably be the most ridiculous.

The support fire cooldown makes it less impressive than it sounds. 15 strikes with the fists don't equal 15 arrows, more 5 or 7.

I cannot fathom slandering french toast. It's not simply milky bread, it's milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and a godly amount of eggs. As a lover of both support fire and milky toast, it is with a heavy heart that I must denounce you.

Okay, but if he'd started the Hades fight with his third death defiance, he totally would've won. Also, it's crazy how long he lasted at low health. I'd have been panicking so much that it would've thrown off my ability to dodge.

why we hating on french toast? it's a peasant dish, it utilises stale bread and turns it into a vessel for whatever you want to serve with it. it's not a groundbreaking orgasmic flavour experience but it is a very good way to utlise something they would either be turned into breadcrumb or thrown out

Hangover boons seem like they'd scale very well with many poms. Entering Elysium, a level 40 heroic Dio attack does 480 dps with 5 stacks of hangover. Dio's aid comes in at a whopping 1810 DPS but you have to charge it. Razor shoals is also quite good: 560 dps with a level 40 heroic. You just need the one stack, but it doesn't deal damage when the enemy isn't moving.

Support Fire is my fave boon, it's the boon that helped me clear my very first run of Hades.

Go for Lightning Rod. It saved my ass many times when my build ended up not working out or I died too much. It's pretty easy to get too. And if you have Hyper-Sprint you can just ice skate around the map while everything dies lol. It's super cheesy though so I usually only use it as a last resort.

My favorite part is when Support Fire builds up *calls* SUPER quickly because of all the hits I'll definitely have to think about taking a high rarity SF over low rarity Hunter's Mark or PP but I like it. Not as much here tho, just upping the damage is a lil boring but hey, I'm interested to see if it works by the end, who knows :O Also, the beginning clip with the anvil was sooo juicy, I just *have* to find out what happens. This is literally better than clickbait IMO 😂😂😂

honestly support fire seems like it tracks worse on lucifer compared to regular rail? or am i just seeing things? bc on eris/zag it seems like it comes out facing more towards the enemy vs lucifer where it almost gets fired out the back of zag?

Support Fire shines best as part of a wide selection of good boons. For example if it has a 6% chance to crit, and every time you crit you mark a nearby enemy, guaranteeing a crit, which marks a nearby enemy... that adds up. It isn't as good on its own, but I'd call it a solidly good boon. It shines best when combined with features which allow crits, rapid attacks, and allow you to hit many enemies.

support fire is best used on a rapid fire weapon but even then its not really meant to be more than a mid tier boon. it also gets a lot better if you get more of artemis' crit boons bc each can crit once you have them. but its also not like supposed to do more than your main attack its bonus damage on top of the attack more than a weapon on its own. I find it more fun with gauntlets on but i find most things more fun with gauntlets so thats just a preference lol

I mean, by that metric no one likes pancakes or waffles either, really - French toast is good because it’s a great vehicle for syrup. If you’ve ever just drank maple syrup, well, some people might not want to do that for breakfast. Imagine someone saying that people who like rice aren’t real because we put sauces and seasonings on it. Rice is a staple, cereal base for a meal to be built on top of, just like bread and - by extension - French toast.

i would say a decent time to pick up support fire is when you have the damage blocking on. but i think what makes it more unappealing is that you have to put quite a few levels to make it feel like it is doing anything.

You visited your little shade supporter after boss 3, so I decided to forgive the French toast slander. (Though seriously, calling it soggy makes no sense, because the egg/milk mixture solidifies when cooked. If you ate some that tasted soggy, it wasn't cooked properly.)

If you do revisit Curse of the Dead Gods, I will be glad to help you out since I 100% the journal no hitting everything at least 5 times. Also had a no hit enemy run once (got hit by a trap once otherwise it was a flawless run). Its a shame im not finding Ravenswatch as good as Curse IMO.

having the DPS meter on would have finally settled once and for all if Support Fire is actually good... Except there is no argument, it's alright at best. If it targeted everything BUT what you were attacking, I'd give it more respect, but like... Artemis is the crit queen, why bother with free, static damage when you can just rock Marked and blow up everything immediately.

I use the dps meter and artemis legendary (what supp fire shows up as) always has a healthy chunk of damage. It's a no investment boon that is purely free auto aimed dmg that can also help hit stragglers around the chamber to make clears quicker. It's perfectly mid, I would never call it OP yet I would never call it bad.
