Suggestion, put a butterfly valve on the hydrant before the LDH. Speeds up fill times, turns hydrant on once, & less overflow from tender.

Our district was partial and partial rural. Anytime we opened a hydrant it was gated for quick open and shutdown. That was r0 years ago. I can remember leaving the station with just the driver. We got the job done. Good video.👍

I wish the weather during our barn fire was that nice. The guys on tender ops over filled the porta-tank and got my wet and my gear froze instantly! It was 7:00 am and -15.
@randallweese18857 жыл бұрын
That tanker needs a good downhill to get moving. Its pretty clear that the power to weight ratio is way off on that truck.
@cockula7763 жыл бұрын
On the money! They're using an oil tanker for a water tanker and more than likely overfilled it. This is a rollover and passibly a LODD waiting to happen!

If it had the 8.2 Detroit diesel,it would have the power to move

Commit an engine to your tanker full. It will speed the process up a lot.

did these trucks really leave the station without water or was this a resupply video?
@sandunes328 жыл бұрын
They had water of course. They all went to the scene and dropped their water in the drop tanks. The pumper was used as a tanker that day as there was a tanker broke down.

Why's there an antenna on the hydrant?
@sandunes325 жыл бұрын
Antoine Berben that is so that the hydrant is visible when potentially buried in snow during the winter months.

From a fireman point of view it was more than likley the call in time to be dispatched an it may of been 3/4 the way burnt before they got their tones

Typically people that insult others are miserable and insecure with their life, fit the bill sad man?? Firefighters have pulled out countless lives from burning buildings, saved cardiac arrest patients, extricated mangled bodies from wrecked cars, helped many elder citizens that have fallen back up........shall I continue douchebag?? I’m not part of any fire brigade but I respect and support these men and woman, you are just a plain douche.

Mikey I’ve been on numerous barn fires where the barn was pretty much fully involved and the owner says to just let it burn.
