Not bad Looking Rods. Its nice ,you dont have to spend alot of Money on Rods Reels, and get the job done. I Love name brand Reels, but Diawa, And Garcia, refuse to offer a left hand crank Reel, Except " OKUMA" as one example. We just use Big 6000 series KastKing Sharkey3 Bait Feeder Reels, And Wisker Seeker Rods. Good Quality for Money. We just use Mono all Around. Berkley big game ," SUCKS" on Spinning Reels, but just fine on Open face Reels. I use Orange Co Polymer Wisker Seeker Line. Either way , you have a System that works for you just fine. Heat Shrink is great especially, keep handles new or dinged up ones protected. Great Video Thanks.

Good video man first time I've seen your channel I'll be checking it out again I love catfishing and like seeing kids out their learning and fishing towe don't have any really good catfishing close by me but I'm blessed that I have the lower James River about 3 hour drive away so I fish it pretty often and we catch some really nice blue cats in there and you can catch small-to-medium channels until your arms fall off but we mostly target bigger blues and we catch a few striper when they're running

Just my opinion but I'd put 1 rod in the front about 10 to 12 ft out. Then one to the right 18 to 20 ft. Then one to the left as far as I can get it. Then the back 6 to 8ft from the boat. 1 rod the front, right side of boat then left side of the boat 1 to the back put bells on them then wait. No tangling issues. 😊

never really targeted catfish here in my home state of Ky but I know there are plenty of good opportunity's to catch lots of good cat's here. I'm close to cave run and the three forks of the Ky River in eastern Ky and some beautiful stretches of the KY river around the Irvine Richmond area so as i'm gettin older now and the bank in the bend of a river or a old log in a reservoir seems to call my name a little more, So love your channel and it's always great to see a Dad taking his kid fishing great memories for you and him , good clean channel. God Bless.

On those multiple hook leaders, have you hooked a really big fish on one of those? Wonder how strong they are. Like the idea of more bait.
@hagengrubbsfishing4 жыл бұрын
If the knot is tied right they are very strong. The technique that Chris souders teaches is great. I’ve caught some 30s and 40lb fish on them. I’m confident that if a monster bit on one it would hold him. Thank you for watching.

I like the betts super pro and the fitech super spreaders. The larger the mesh the more durable they are. Of course the mesh size greatly depends on the size bait you are looking for. I strictly use 1” mesh. Thanks for watching.
