At the catfish conference i went to buy a couple more rods and they talked me into the lighter rods. There my favorite now. That and im using Piscifun reels and i like them better then my Abu garcia for some reason.

I caught big Shovelhead on 12-14 inch channel cats all the time in the Scioto river in Ohio. I guess it was usual diet! I cracked the side and dorsal fins with needlenose.

My guess is that planer board cut your line. I have had my line get caught (and cut) on the split ring that holds the snap connector to the board. I am a tig welder by profession so I just tack the split ring closed on mine and it fixed the problem.

High Intensity Retro Reflective Tape (HXREF) [1 Roll] 1" (25mm) x 10 yds Blue a.co/d/85Ncq4Y I’m not sure if that is the same exact brand but it looks the same as what I have. One thing that helped is I was able to wrap it all the way around the foam on the board until it overlapped slightly as my boards are rectangular. Hope that helps, thanks for watching and good luck👍

Many in the Fishing Sport have lost the Basic fun of Ketching fish. Many look down on Cat Fishing Crowd, Particularly bass , walleye fisherman ,and others. So, Tell me the difference between a Rod Bending violently, throbbing up and down, frm a Bass Or Steelhead ect, vs a Big Channel cat or Flathead. Ask a kid how much fun it was , when he fought Mr. Wiskers. The High Tech Crowd have gotten to serious, and Competitive, and have Lost the Art of pure simple wholesome fun. I fish for many species, but keep old ," ANDY'S CAT FISHING , close to the heart.
