i was created custom symbol, when i put on horizontal symbol keep in vertical position, any sugest?

I'm having difficulty Updating/Sync my attribute to the order I wanted to be. I used the "Symbol Builder" to created my smart blocks, added to the " Icon Menu Wizard", then inserted with the "Icon Menu". The attribute was everywhere of course, that's normal in AutoCAD. I used BATTMAN command to make the adjustment and it was fine, until I used the PURGE command and reinserted the same block to test it out and the newly adjusted attribute was out of wack again. hope someone in here can help me out. Thank you in advance.

This video was very helpful. However I am having one issue that I can't seem to fix. Whenever I complete a symbol and put it into a drawing, the Pins section of the dialogue box is greyed out and it won't allow me to type in my pin numbers. I did add the wire connections according to the instructions in this video but for some reason the boxes are greyed out for me no matter what I try. I can still add the pin numbers by double clicking the component and entering them that way, but I would really like to be able to enter them the normal way. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated :)
