Watching each episode from Czech Republic and find it as one of the best KZbin shows. Tom's encyclopedical knowledge of classic cars combined with great commentary and clear camera shots makes this show so desirable and respectable. Keep on going, please!

Happy to see an MG make the show. I have a 1971 MGB and I LOVE it. They aren't very valuable or flashy, so they often get overlooked on classic car programs and YT channels. They are a fantastic way to enter the car hobby if you are like me and want the fun of a classic, but on a budget. They are more reliable than their reputation suggests and almost all parts are still made and available at fair prices. I highly suggest any classic car fan sitting on the sidelines to check locally to see what MGB's are available in their area and join the hobby! Thanks again to Hagerty and Tom for these fantastic episodes.

Love your show, just love watching it! Nice to see you commenting on the MG Midget, aside from the typical US 'iron' - nothing wrong in that of course!!! I'd love to own a 50s US car. You commented on owning an MGB in particular leg room. As a young lad I found this great and the cars lots of fun.

The series reminds me of my old house. The people that lived down the street from there had a Karmann-Ghia and an SN95 Mustang Convertible in the driveway, and my father and I took great interest in them. Then one day my dad tells me that they’re pulling some cool cars out of that garage down the street and that I should go look. When I got there they had already pulled an E-Type Jag, a 50s Thunderbird that was in super excellent condition, and a C3 Vette that was also super clean. But sitting in the back corner was a 74 DeTomaso Pantera. I asked the people pulling the car why they have gotten it out yet and they told me “it doesn’t want to wake up right now.” So then it turns out that the cars were gonna be auctioned with the estate because the owner passed away. I begged my father to bid on one, knowing full well we couldn’t afford anything but the beaten up VW or the Mustang. We ended up with some vinyls and didn’t get to bid on the cars.

Love the Roadrunner, but that is way too much for a shell that was an 383 4 speed that's been molested. The GLH only had 146hp, same engine as my '87.5 Dodge Shadow ES Turbo
@greganderson78666 жыл бұрын
Whoever buys that Road Runner is gonna have to find pretty much every part to put back on that stripped out shell.Also,some yabbo cut a bunch of holes in the rad support and likely in a bunch of other places as well so it's gonna need some major metal work as well.15K? I'd be hesitant to drop 5K on that pail unless there's a hemi sitting inside of it.

The Dodge GLH had a VW engine in them.... The Omni and Horizon had few interchangeable parts with their European siblings. Aside from the heavier-looking American body panels and bumpers, the OHV Simca engines were replaced with unique 1.7 L SOHC engines sourced from Volkswagen, while MacPherson strut front suspension took the place of the torsion bar arrangement found in the European Horizon. The Volkswagen engine used an enlarged Chrysler-designed cylinder head and intake manifold and produced 75 hp (56 kW) and 90 lb⋅ft (122 N⋅m).
@bigw85496 жыл бұрын
Michael Holliday the GLH has a 2.2 litre engine. The Volkswagen motor was a 1.7 litre (my father had a 1980 Horizon 1.7). There was also a 1.6 litre available.

I was pissed off, the car was a 1986. It had the HO 305 in it. I did the same as you. I sold it. I Drove my old 72 blazer till I got my hands on a 1995 Police 9C1 caprice with the LT1 350. I still have it. Just had the engine stroked and bored. Used a Scat forged rotator kit, put in a nasty comp extreme efi 242/584 & Trick Flow heads Now getting 475 at the crank and 412 at the tires. This coming spring it will get a Precision Super Charger. Keeping the car plain looking hoping to get some street action around Annapolis MD. I love those old Mopars. My dad had a 4 speed 340 Duster, 1970. His buddy had a 1969 0r 1970 Polara Hiway Patrol with the 440 magnum. That car was killer fast once it got moving. I bet you wish you still had the Fury now.
