I worked for a German chemical company (Making car paints and industrial coatings) in the late 1980's we used to have fun days like this, also had our own subsidised restaurant, plus social club, bar and pool darts teams etc. the Germans know how to keep their workers happy. Also every year they would sell off loads of one year old cars from the reps fleets. at huge discount with good motorway miles.

I've had Auxbeam lights on my truck for about 20k miles and they work great. I also had them on a DR 650 that I rode from SF to Cabo and back with zero issues. Both sets have been pods, not a light bar but put out plenty of lumens to see during dusk and night.

If you ever get in that kind of a situation again and your starter still works, you can turn the key on, pop the hood, and take a screwdriver and bypass the solenoid by connecting the two main posts with the screwdriver. The solenoid is probably on the passenger side wall, close to the battery. **Make sure it is out of gear and not rolling away**

Sounds like the solenoid. It engages the starter when the key is turned. If it was the starter you would at least hear the solenoid engage the starter.

Check your ignition solenoid, it’s behind the starter. When you get “nothing” it’s either the starter is out of whack not connecting, or the ignition switch burnt out

I have had good luck with NiLight light bars. I've had 11 of them and never had any issues. Even after snapping the mounting bracket off my 4 wheeler and dragging on asphalt and sitting in the rain.

Nilight 7 inch led bars on Amazon are hard to beat. They’re around 30 bucks for 2 and nilight also has a wiring harness for around 10 bucks. I have these lights and wiring harness on my ATV and they’ve been great. Super bright and water proof. The lights come with all the mounting hardware as well.

Nilight makes some great cheap light pods and they're on Amazon, I've been running them for years. If you need them to be waterproof I'd suggest resealing them with some better materials but if it's only rain that you're worried about they're perfect out of the box
