Bang Si-Hyuk really is a visionary and innovator. He imagined HYBE 20 years ago. The gaming industry is huge and there's so much potential there with a combination of gaming soundtracks. And the way the artists are already made to look fairy-like and like anime characters, they can easily be made into gaming characters. It makes sense for it all to be in the same house. I wish HYBE much success in this expansion.

Would you be able to cover the news of former Tencent director joining Kakao Ent (Kakao having China intel in their board would be to their advantage), and Kakao creating a rival overseas platform to Weverse? I read on TMIkpop that Kakao rep many music artists, but also actors, models and gaming. They've also partnered with Columbia and Billboard. what impact this has on Hybe & Weverse? Hybe will spend 2025-28 expanding into global markets but I'm worried that in terms of variety, Kakao has their claws in pretty much every aspect of k-entertainment. should Hybe be worried?

Mentioning Enhyphen's webcomic reminded me of BTS webcomic which I loved, but it never concluded. I hope with HYYH anniversary coming up, they will finally conclude it. I wonder about HYBE's gaming venture when they have no experience in it. I wonder if Ador would get anyone to audition with all the haters. What if the haters sabotage their success?

"Save me" BTS webtoon is the best webtoon by any group :) simple yet meaningful and deep such a classic . Its the only webtoon I read from beginning to end in my whole life :D

They will. Just like other HYBE labels. Especially since it will at least take a year or more to debut them. Not to mention this is happening in a very small bubble. Most people - especially foreigners - do not know about it. Also a lot of people know that with that much interest since debut artist will get hate either way - no matter the label. It is a big opportunity. People who have never been hated also do underestimate how bad it can be. Min overestimates her influence as do the "Bunnies".

Yes. But you do know it's always the artists decisions to renew their contracts or not. Fromis9 didn't renew their contracts with pledis. Gfriend is doing anniversary comeback. It would take alot of organization with all companies Gfriend are signed with individual. Source music and hybe doesn't want to inferring with solo careers.

But the reason they left was the way they were treated right like fromis had such few comebacks under pledis and gfriend was thriving and had so many hits not sure what happened and they left like that!!! See some of their interviews they talk about how gfriend has not disbanded but still alive!! And I saw yerin crying when she heard one of their songs in some interview!! Even fromis 9 were so heartbroken!! So I feel hybe labels instead of debuting new groups should try to keep the existing ip and promote and treat them better!!

In which case she can’t claim any of the things she created or produce as hers while she took $1 million a year salary at the same time. And I also sceptical about the games division, but hope they make a good decision. The gaming business in my opinion could really start off in the next years. But where I feel uncomfortable with is the "international K-Pop idol" idea. As we can see with other big companies and how their idols in the US chafe against the Korean rules/way of training this might bring even more problems with people suing to get out of their contracts. At the very least they should never take on underage idols. Let them be adults when they sign. That may (hopefully) prevent a lot of these problems.

Is it just me that has alarm bells ringing about another PvP game in 2025? Market is so oversaturated with these games. Just look what happened last year with Sony and their hero shooter game Concord. Absolute money dump. They invested millions and millions and only 200 people bought the 40$ game. They pulled the game from the market 2 weeks after release. And now HYBE investing in studios that have not released a single game since 2016 and first game they do is PvP? I truly hope HYBE has some good analists gone through the gaming market and what gamers actually want.

The way they treated JK's try to help for example, the way they talked about certain members and the way they are backing Min who has not only paid for HYBE and BTS hate but specifically pointed out Taehyung and accussed him of getting privilege or breaking military laws is also a thing. Stuff has context. Libel works a little differently in SK. Army hates Min and the girls nonsense and how they reflect on others - they are also defending for example Le Sserafim and Illit. We do not hate the girls. We dislike them. There is a difference.

Right now it's only lawsuits between mhj ador and hybe. Nj has not filed with the court yet. Ador has a injunction with the court. But it can take up to 2-3 years.

If they wanted to debut as fast as possible they could recruit from other HYBE labels trainees or even other labels trainees. It would not be that hard. That ADOR wold debut other groups is a given - just like the other labels under HYBE. Nevermind that they are going to gt thier next piece in court soon: You can not end a contract like that. Than it will be the girls move - and ignoring the law will not work for them.

I am concerned about HYBE taking control of BTS' money. Are they able to do that? They mentioned due to ADORE's situation, they restructured how the CEO gets access to money. It sounds like the finance departments changed in some ways to account for the spending, but did they pull the money into HYBE banks? How do they control it? A CEO of a company should be able to access their own money, so I was not clear on what precautions they took to change how a CEO, etc, can use the company funds. BH should never be touched since they have not had an issue that we know of.
