Similar to the United States having 50 distinct regions of the country, Japan has 47 prefectures. Our Karasuno, Date Tech, Aoba Josai (Seijoh), and Shiratorizawa are some of the teams in Miyagi prefecture. Nekoma and the teams we’ll be practicing against are from the much larger Tokyo prefecture, this why Tanaka calls them “city boys”.

As you girls noticed, Ushiwaka (which is actually his nickname, his real name is Ushijima) is very direct and blunt, but not out of malice or pride, boy's just a very literal person that tends to lack social awareness, a bit like Kageyama but more quiet and less of a brat lol, this has lead to a lot of people in the fanbase theorizing he might be a character on the spectrum (or a very close representation of one whether intentionally or not).

Oikawa, winning the best setter in Junior High, could have easily attended Shiratorizawa but that’s where his enemy Ushiwaka went. Ushiwaka was already attending Shiratorizawa Junior High and then moved on to Shiratorizawa High School. Oikawa was stubborn and didn’t want to join his enemy but to accomplish his goal of defeating them.

As a Nekoma fan I love that they appear for at most a minute and they are the thumbnail 11:27 No, those are normal shoes, the ones they use on the court are special volleyball shoes. Unfortunately, one of my coach's daughter always had the worst grades in our group. They weren't even bad, it's just that average grades looked terrible next to multiple straight A students. Do the OVAs for sure. But that's not what I'm here to say. I haven't seen it, and I hate that I probably come off as hyperbolic to people who know me, but since you acknowledged and seem to watch the ops, in my humble opinion, you are half a season from back to back no shit, two of the all time great ops. The animation is amazing, but the songs absolutely stand on their own as classics. Some would argue it's back to back to back greats (all the same band too). Really looking forward to that and also the back half of this season is solid fucking gold.
