I love illusions of any kind. Optical are among the easiest. This teaches us: we absolutely *can't* trust our senses. Because it is _only_ our brain that makes 'sense' out of sensory input. When that input violates what our brains are expecting then our brains do what computers do with garbage. Garbage in, garbage out. Then our senses don't make sense. Because it's not the sensory equipment doing the interpretation; it's our brains. And our brains need to learn what they have to interpret. You two are so cute and adorable together when you discover that our brains are great but can also be fooled easily.

The illusion tunnel is a trip… something like it was part of the Backlot Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood, since it was used in episodes of The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman for the Bigfoot stories. And as far as science museums go, if you’re ever in the San Francisco Bay Area you should go to The Exploratorium in San Francisco and the Lawrence Hall of Science at UC Berkeley, as well as The California Academy of Science in Golden Gate Park.
